We had the good fortune of connecting with Tisha Janigian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tisha, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand, SHE IS HOPE Realty, is to represent our clients with the utmost honesty and integrity, while giving back to our communities. A percentage of every real estate transaction goes back to SHE IS HOPE LA, a nonprofit I founded to educate and empower single mothers starting over in the workplace and provide affordable, transitional housing and childcare. As the Owner and Broker of SHE IS HOPE Realty, my goal is to work with seasoned agents that join my team and train/mentor new agents that get into the business, knowing that they are tied to the nonprofit and making a difference in their communities with every transaction. My goal is to take the SHE IS HOPE Group across the country and help more single moms and their children get back on their feet!

What should our readers know about your business?
SHE IS HOPE Realty is unique in that the brokerage donates a percentage of every transaction back to SHE IS HOPE LA to uplift single mother families. We make sure our clients are aware of this so it’s a win-win situation! We are proud to work with SHE IS HOPE LA and help single moms and their kids get back on their feet. We are a boutique brokerage that is very involved in the community. We work with other nonprofit organizations because when we collaborate, we make more of an impact! We have been working with CA Realty Training to obtain real estate education scholarships, especially for single moms or those raised by single mothers because being a real estate agent offers them a flexible schedule and a high income earning potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Los Angeles and truly enjoy showing visitors this incredible city! I also love finding new places and things to do with local friends! The culture, diversity, proximity to the ocean and mountains, always having something to do, and giving my two sons the best opportunity to succeed is why I live here!

If friends were visiting for a week, I would take them to Hollywood Boulevard to see a Movie at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, check out all of the hand and footprints then take a walk down to Amoeba Music and then drive to Griffith Observatory. We would eat at Yamashiro Restaurant while watching the sunset and walk along the Japanese Gardens. Spend a day driving on the Pacific Coast Highway and go to Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, all the way to Malibu and have dinner at The Sunset Restaurant and take a a walk on the beach. Have dinner at Firefly Restaurant in Studio City after spending the day driving down Ventura Boulevard and shopping in Encino at our SHE IS HOPE LA Realty & Boutique and end the night listening to Jazz at the Baked Potato or going to a comedy show at Flappers in Burbank. Drive along Sunset Boulevard for high tea at The London in West Hollywood or dining at PUMP. Beverly Hills for shopping on Rodeo Drive and sightseeing then having a bite at Mastro’s – maybe rent a limo! Have a Jazz Brunch at Perch and then check out LACMA and The Getty Museum. Universal Studios and Citywalk are super fun and we aren’t far from Disneyland or the Queen Mary! Catalina Island for a beautiful day getaway!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am incredibly grateful for my Board of Directors, my real estate agents/trainees, our volunteers, friends & family, but especially my sons, Nicholas & Alexander, who give me the inspiration I need each and every day!
