Meet Tim Yeager: Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Yeager and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tim, why did you pursue a creative career?
Having worked a range of jobs, from bus boy to dish washer to corporate office jobs, the appeal of self expression and working for myself on my own terms seemed like a natural fit. I’ve always felt like a creative person so being able to weave that into my job was also an exciting prospect. 

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I try to capture objects or moments in time with my own perspective. I hope that this perspective connects with others and lets them see something special in the mundane or maybe even makes them appreciate the wonder around us be it something extraordinary or everyday. Practice makes perfect but I try not to underestimate learning from my mistakes. My philosophy is that doing something is one of the best ways to learn about it, very few are great at something right out of the gate, myself included, so try and do and repeat.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest shout out has to be to my husband James. He’s my biggest supporter and has an unwavering belief in my work and in me.
