We had the good fortune of connecting with Teodor and Elena Todorov and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teodor and Elena, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Understanding that both, my partner and I, had zero experience in the wine business and very little in the restaurant industry, we needed to be educated and as much as possible. Therefor, my partner Elena started her educational path towards wine.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are Wine bar, 2 years in business and for 2 successful years in a raw voted best wine bar in Long Beach (2022 and 2023 Long Beach post). We are small boutique wine bar introducing old world wines (France, Italy, Spain) as well as New world to our patrons.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
1. Naples, Long Beach – beautifull walk along the canals. 2. Belmont shore and peninsula beach ( hidden gem)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My business partner and also wife Elena, is the main motor behind Wine on 2nd. Going trough hard times before opening, both of us understood the importance of motivating one another during the process. Elena was pregnant when we sign the lease contract. Now we have almost 4 year old girl.
