Meet Taylor Nassar | Intuitive Artist, Stylist & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Nassar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I have ever had to make was the choice to cut ties and allow the old vision of what I once held for UNIFY to die. I had to “put the ego aside and allow the heart to guide”.
Little background…During covid when factories shut down, production stopped and supply chain was at a stand still, I naturally started to panic at the thought of everything I had been working so hard towards being close to crumble. At the same time I was feeling incredibly burnt out from the never ending rat race of the fashion industry. This need to be constantly doing, creating, producing, selling, chasing and competing.
With no where else to turn but a need to pivot in some way I found my way back to where the journey of Unify the Ties started, through my painting. It was revealed to me once again how creativity creates space for clarity. When I allowed myself the time to let go, cut ties to fear and the need to have it all figured out I was thankfully and ultimately pushed into greater depths with my process, my prayer and embodying the lifestyle of what Unify the Ties is all about.
I learned to trust my intuitive guidance more intimately. I was reaffirmed that when you hit stagnancy, when things don’t turn out as planned… this isn’t rejection rather cosmic redirection. That it’s safe to surrender even deeper to a greater, more vibrant and fulfilling unfoldment. That when I connect to my heart, and cut ties to things that don’t align with my true core, it allows for greater space, inspiration and the ability to see the cosmic breadcrumbs that lead you to a more expansive and soul aligned destiny.
From that process of releasing and surrendering, more beautiful paths were revealed and unified to me that I know from a soul level will allow me to step into greater service to others in the art and healing space. All while allowing me to be able to pay the gift of creative empowerment forward. To show others how powerful they truly are by following and expressing their unique heART.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The brand has gone through many life cycles, it has shapeshifted over time and evolved intimately and intricately with me on my spiritual path. Throughout most of my life I have struggled with perfectionism, anxiety and depression, which manifested into an eating disorder for some time throughout my teens and 20’s. It was during my lowest period where I had divine intervention and felt a pull to ask my heart what it needed in that moment. The only thing I could remember that brought me true joy within was when I was creating art and so I set back out on a journey to explore my creative side again. Finding my passion in painting and starting to allow my soul to work through my emotions with color, self expression and texture, I soon started to naturally heal and transform my heart through my dark times. I had found what made me tick on the inside which then started to manifest and ripple out in magickal ways on the outside.
Looking back, I was able to tap into what I like to call “creative empowerment” which I truly believe played a massive role in my healing journey and coming home to myself. Because we each have our own unique core soul frequency I’ve learned that when we can connect to those very things that make our soul feel alive, this radiates a powerful magnetizing effect. A new form of empowerment is ignited from within, something that can’t be bought only created and cultivated.
I’ve learned that as souls we are born with a pure vibration and a unique core soul frequency. Over time we begin to create artificial layers, hardened protective shells and take on self limiting beliefs that keep us stuck from expressing our truest authentic nature. These layers can manifest in the physical and energy body in many ways. For me, it was around my anxiety and depression, bulimia and anorexia. On a different note these layers can keep us from embodying the energy of our higher selves because we tend to get wrapped in the ego mind, we over work ourselves, adapt to grind culture, fall for the never ending rat race and place happiness on external factors. Only for this to leave us feeling unworthy, unfulfilled, unappreciated and uninspired. In my experiences the main thing I was able to take away in my healing journey was the importance of releasing to receive, cutting ties to unify the ties, letting go to align. I’ve learned through experience that creativity creates space for clarity and when we create time for releasing through uninhibited play, present moment pleasure and doing what makes your soul tick, you give yourself permission to rate your worthiness based on your inner beauty and what you emanate from within. You also powerfully shift your frequency making you more magnetic to what your heART so deeply desires. I’ve learned this to be true with even how you dress yourself. When you dress yourself from an authentic place and not how you think you “should” or how you think others want you too, you can show up more confidently and in your souls true essence allowing for more genuine experiences, connections and energies.
My vision for my brand and the impact I hope to make on the planet is helping people connect to their unique inner magick and to see that from that place anything and all is possible. We can manifest all that we want through the power of our heart’s pure intentions and souls creative expressions. All of the answers we seek are truly right in front of us – we just need to ask to receive…or in our case create to receive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first I would take them to start their day up at Kate Sessions where I typically start my mornings. I just think its the most magickal place! I love the contrast of being able to see the ocean, the mountains, the city, the bay…literally all of San Diego. The grass is always squishy and well kept perfect for grounding barefoot and I’d without a doubt take them to sit under my special tree where the hummingbirds dance. I learned that because their wings move so fast, hummingbirds have the ability to shift your frequency just by being around them.
After we make some time to set the tone for the day and the trip I’d take them on an adventure to explore all the different nooks and crannys of san diego. I typically like to focus in on an area a day so they can get a taste of the variety of neighborhoods and vibes. From Encinitas to Del Mar, La Jolla to Bird Rock , Pacific Beach to Ocean Beach, North and South Park to Little Italy….to name a few. Definitely eating, shopping and sightseeing our way through.
Some of my more specific spots I’d take them to is
A yoga class and lunch at the cafe at Trilogy Sanctuary in La Jolla. Everything Trilogy puts on is amazing, intentional and expansive. You can move your body, connect to beautiful community, shop local brands and nourish your body all in one place.
I also love taking people to my favorite bookstore up in Encinitas called Soulscape. I usually get lost in there for hours looking through books, exploring crystals, oracle cards, candles etc. A sensory overload for sure but nonetheless a magickal emporium that always leaves me feeling really inspired and uplifted. You can follow this with a walk on Moonlight Beach or watch the surfers at Swammys.
Another thing I love to do with people visiting is a beach sunset and a bay bonfire. It’s really hard to not want to do everything outside when you live in a place as beautiful as San Diego. I’ve found that its in these more simpler moments that create truly beautiful and lasting memories.
Few other spots:
Palmys for breakfast in PB
Drinks at Birds Eye in La Jolla
Lunch at Beaumonts in bird rock
Dinner at Costa Brava in PB, Seneca Downtown, Buon Appetito in Little Italy

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My entire journey thus far with Unify the Ties has been an ongoing quest towards learning how to love myself unconditionally and embrace my light and dark within. So that I can then hold space for others looking to do the same.
I truly have a long list of people and resources that I am eternally grateful for, who have empowered and helped me to continue peeling back the layers to get to the real me. I’m constantly reminded and amazed at the transformation I’ve been able to make from the inside, out.
From my therapists, to spiritual mentors, embodiment and business coaches, to womb healers, energy practitioners and sacred sisterhood, I’ve realized that it takes a village to take great care of ourselves – mind body and soul. Each soul played a unique part imprinting on my souls growth. I was able to heal aspects of myself that I couldn’t have done alone.
Aside from the beautiful souls above my deepest recognition goes out to my grandfather Carroll who passed in March of 2023. We prayed every Thursday together for 5 years straight…different states and thousands of miles away couldn’t keep us from our weekly ritual. On the call my grandfather would keep a sort of structure to it. Each time sharing daily experiences, conscious connections, wisdom and most importantly present moment gifts where we saw beauty in all things. It wasn’t until after he passed that I realized on an even deeper level, the true impact he had on the meaning behind the name – Unify the Ties.
