Meet Stephanie Maine | F45 Training Franchise Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Maine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, my career as a pro-am snowboarder had me constantly trying to find ways to spend less time at work earning maximum dollar amount, so that I could spend as much time on the mountain as possible. Coaching our local freestyle snowboard team on the weekends, private lessons, and bartending weekend nights (when the mountain was crowded anyway) allowed me to enjoy my weekdays on the snow! I guess this followed me into my professional life – I chose to become a Realtor, working for myself on my own time, and getting out as much as you put in. As I was building my business there, I found F45 as sort of a side gig. I would coach the early classes 5, 6, and 7:oo am and then go into the office and work real estate. My side gig became a passion and and fell in love with the community and concept. From there, I just really felt that franchising an F45 was the right move. Love has pretty much always been a big driver of my decisions– and I really love F45. 😀

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
F45 Training for me catapulted me into the best shape of my life. The science behind the workouts gets results, and the company itself is always creating and evolving. The innovation and technology really sets us up to make better and stronger members. We took off running the day we opened, and about 1 year later COVID hit and took us out at the legs, or so it seemed. I couldn’t be more grateful for the members and staff that powered through, shifted and we went online and not only made it work but we pushed passed it and built something better. Im so proud of that and it wouldn’t have been possible without our people!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The universe cursed us and blessed us with the best damn doughnuts right next door – ‘Broad Street Doughnut Co.’ They are the coolest owners and some amazing made to order doughnuts with vegan and gluten free options!
I love a good brunch and ‘Papagayo’ takes the cake. Located in Lucadia, really awesome location and just a great over all experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could spend paragraphs on shout outs to the people who have made me who I am and helped me achieve my goals. But I think the safe bet here if I have to pick a few core people… it would be a huge HELL YEAH to my parents for believing in me and always supporting my decisions, my husband for being my rock and my biggest advocate, and my business partner and amazing friend Jesse, without you this would not be as fun, and it would be 10 times harder. Of course this business would not be anything without our staff. Thank you for all the time you have spent over the years, changing lives and giving back to our community and making it what it is.
