Meet Stacey Harten and Kristy Warner | Interior Design Company

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Harten and Kristy Warner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacey Harten, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
From a young age my sister and I have been creative together. Always getting dressed up playing make up and hair while setting up the perfect scenery of pillows and flowers for a tea party. As we got older I knew I wanted a path in doing interior design and my sister fell in love with becoming a hairdresser. We continued following those dreams that led us in and out of each others businesses of hair and design. Somehow we constantly overlapped our dreams of helping each other grow. Now becoming our business together of June Design Company, a full service design firm. What started as two little twin girls dressing up and playing tea party grew our dreams in to owning and running this amazing business together.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Our company is molded from amazing and creative women who have a passion for design. We love to come into any space and dream up the dream of what would make our client feel like that space is “perfect’ for them. Our projects range from room design all the way to a new build. What we hear most from our clients is “Where do we begin?”. We help along the whole way from tearing out walls and putting in brand new kitchen and appliances to picking out knobs and organization pieces. Not only do our clients get a gorgeous home with our design but we are there to execute the entire way. It take the guessing out of “Where do I begin?” and allows the clients dreams to really come true.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being that our company is based in Carlsbad we would say there is nothing better than the coast in North County. To the amazing beaches, like Ponto Beach, to Hikes like Annies Canyon. We love all the food in North County as well. Our favorite Mexican food would be the Taco Stand in Encinitas. From there is is such a blast to walk all the shops along the 101. We would make a stop for breakfast at Goodonya for their amazing avocado toast. The best way to see the coast is to take an electric bike and cruise all along the Pacific Coast Highway. In downtown Carlsbad we love a good stop at Park 101 for a brisket ending with Ice Cream at Handles. Everywhere you look is something beautiful. We feel very lucky to live somewhere so amazing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We wouldn’t be where we are with out our amazing team, they make the dreams come to life. At the end of the day nothing would be possible with out the support we have received from our amazing parents. They have always told us we could become anything we wanted and encouraged us to never give up. We feel so lucky and blessed to be raised in an environment of love and support. Our Mother is such a strong woman always working hard and reminding us that as women we could do ANYTHING, She and our Dad molded us into women who set no boundaries and knew we could build ourselves into something sucesful and fulfilling.
