We had the good fortune of connecting with Sloan + Hunter Rajadhyksha + Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sloan + Hunter, how does your business help the community?
Our business is deeply rooted in a commitment to helping people achieve effortless vision and enhancing their quality of life. Restoring and optimizing sight is incredibly rewarding, and we take pride in making specialty services like vision therapy and specialty contact lenses accessible to those who may not find such care elsewhere. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of forming lasting relationships with families, providing year-round support to meet their unique visual needs.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business stands out due to our elite customer service and the personalized care we offer. To us, our patients are more than clients—they’re family. We’re proud of the growth we’ve achieved, expanding from a two-person husband-and-wife team to a thriving practice with two locations and a team of 13 within just three years. The road hasn’t been easy; challenges are part of building a new business, but we faced them together, each bringing different strengths to the table. With humor and resilience, we kept our focus on providing excellent patient care, knowing that if our patients were happy, the rest would fall into place. Our story is about maintaining a family-oriented practice at a time when private equity and large corporations are reshaping the medical landscape. Each patient is treated as an individual, not a number.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our best friends were visiting the area, we’d love to take them on a memorable week-long tour of the local gems. We’d start in Carlsbad Village for a relaxed night out with drinks, followed by a trip to La Jolla to watch the seals and dine at George’s for its stunning views. A day at Balboa Park would include a visit to the Old Globe Theater for a show, and we’d wrap up with a night downtown in the lively Gaslamp Quarter for some dancing. Finally, we’d spend a day in Del Mar, lounging on 15th Street Beach and ending the day at Monarch to enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Pacific.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We owe a great deal of gratitude to our parents, who have been our unwavering advocates and biggest supporters since we first set out to start our own practice. Coming from families of business owners, they understood our vision for making a positive impact in the community and have continually encouraged us to reach for our goals. Their belief in us has been instrumental in every step of our journey.
