Meet sherry kear | Actress & Life is Good Co Ambassador

We had the good fortune of connecting with sherry kear and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi sherry, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I guess you could say that performing and creating was in my blood. At the ripe ole age of 4 I would carry around a box with an aluminum foil stick. I’d stand on that box and speak into the stick saying “Now Demin” Now Demin. Parents thought I was sweating at first. Then soon realized I was saying “Now Ladies and Gentlemen”, Now Ladies and Gentleman. My mom said the only thing I’ve ever wanted was to be an actress and perform.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve learned to never give up never surrender. That applies to everyone no matter what your profession.
We all face challenges along the journey to reach our goals. I try to use those challenges and building blocks. Take the bruising toughen up and move on. Character building.
I’ve learned that family, friends and the little things matter. Optimism and random acts of kindness are what keep me going. It can always be worse. I make an effort everyday to be positive and to be grateful.
I’ve wanted only one thing my whole life and that’s to entertain and make people feel some kinda way.
To escape for a few hours. I’m good at it.
Aaaaand after pursuing and pausing, re-pursuing, pushing again and the re-re pursuing my career due to cancer, work and life getting in the way…I’ve FINALLY found my self cast in two tv series a feature film, music video, print work all on my own! I also landed 2 agents, a manager and NOW I am a Brand Ambassador for Life Is Good Co.
POSITIVE energy and KINDNESS go along way. Negative energy is counter productive and won’t move the needle to help anyone.
It’s the secret, the laws of attraction, hard work, knowledge and believing in myself/YOURSELF that give us the momentum to carry on. We help ourselves we can help others.
I like to share a POSITIVE and OPTIMISTIC outlook and perspective.
Never give up, never surrender!
Don’t listen to the non-believers. A dream can become a reality.
I am part of a Good Vibe Tribe and with that kinda support…there are no limits!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Mission Inn downtown Riverside has the most unique shops, wonderful Spa, eateries. & Cheech Marin Art Museum. There are also scavenger hunts. Could spend a week downtown in it self.

Drive to Corona hills and go Zip-lining at Skull Canyon.
Take a hike round Mount Rubidoux Park.
The Botanic Gardens and Tour the California Citrus State Historic Park. Spend a day at Lake Hemet. The March Field Air Museum is always a treat.
We could even make our way to Palm Springs and have a dinner tram.
We would have a blast.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow so many people have influenced me, supported me and opened doors….from my sister who played deess up , husband, Bill, of 36 years who supports me and gives me the freedom to live my dream, my Drama teacher D’liese Melendrez Johnson at Bellflower High, Ca and Cerritos College in Norwalk, Ca for the time to develop and grow, My friend and business partner Sylim yogi Shanti for his faith in my skills and friendship, to Michele Baloun for referring me to my first TV pilot audition which allowed me to confirm my ability and that I am in the right lane. Yes, I did land the role! Honestly, the secret and the Laws of Attraction which gave me the tools to manifest my vision.
