Meet Sherry Citron | Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Citron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherry, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
For the last 15 years, I worked for social media marketing agencies as a Director, running client accounts and helping grow their business. What I truly loved most about my job was the relationships I got to build with my clients. I was driven by helping clients achieve their goals and watching their brands grow. While doing this made me happy for them, I knew something was missing for me. How could I provide these services in a way that not only helped my clients succeed, but helped me grow and feel fulfilled as well? For years, my Father pushed me to be an entrepreneur and start my own business like he did, but it is admittedly scary to do so. However, I knew I had a passion for Real Estate. So, in 2024 I made the leap to get my Real Estate license, and joined Keller Williams as a Realtor. It was the perfect way to combine my years of experience in marketing, client service, business development and sales with providing a meaningful purpose to my clients that would fulfill me as well – helping them find their dream homes! In addition, I always wanted to take control of my future and work for myself, so I knew my job wouldn’t be at the mercy of someone else’s decisions. My success now depends on the amount of effort, energy and dedication I put in, and I won’t stop until I am at the top! It is also extremely motivating to know my daughter is watching me and she sees you can do anything you put your mind to. In the end, it is all for her and her future and that is why I decided to start my own Real Estate business!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Realtor, I believe what sets me apart is my years of client service and sales experience I gained before finding my passion for real estate. I come from a career based in helping my clients succeed, and doing it in a way that benefits them the most. I am so excited to continue that by helping my clients find their dream homes and get the best deal possible! Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, but every challenge I faced was a learning experience that helped me become stronger, smarter and even more motivated to do my best. After having my daughter, she became the ultimate motivation so I can make sure I give her the best life possible! A valuable lesson I learned along the way is to follow your dreams and never give up. Life is definitely way too short! What I want the word to know about me is that I genuinely care about the people I work with. If anyone asks what I do for a living, I always say I’m in the business of relationships. Because that’s what means the most to me!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting me where I live in Studio City, CA there are definitely a few places we would have to check out! You can’t beat Universal Studios, of course! And I love walking around City Walk too. One of our favorite restaurants in the area is Miceli’s, the singing waiters make the experience so much fun! For some beautiful nature I love going to Descanso Gardens. Especially when all the flowers are in bloom! My favorite place to take my daughter is the LA Zoo. We have a membership and go as much as we can! For lunch one of my favorite spots is Aroma Café. They have a huge menu, everything is delicious, and their outdoor garden is beautiful to enjoy your meal!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I will definitely give a shout out to my husband Justin who has been by my side for over 15 years. We have supported each other’s dreams and it feels amazing to know you have a partner in life who believes in you! I’d also give a shout out to my daughter Chloe who motivates me, encourages me and believes in me so much. Every time I look at her, it reminds me of why I am working so hard to succeed. I’d also shout out to my Parents and my in-laws who have supported my dream of becoming a Real Estate agent as well. They have all been extremely supportive and encouraging, even though it has definitely been risky at times. I couldn’t do it without my family!
