Meet Savannah Rose Visser

Savannah Rose, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
First and for most grew up in the San Diego dance scene – tap, hip hop, jazz, ballet, you name it!
After that, I ventured to SCAD in Savannah, GA (ya I know lol) for my first degree. I came back to San Diego quickly after (as I had already gotten together with my now boyfriend of 8 years, who was also raised in SD).
I started my freelance design business 1 year later and then we started our apparel & skateboard business 3 years later (2021).

It has been a world wind of adventure and work since then. I’ve been able to work with so many amazing people from local to global.

Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
Honestly, I don’t remember what I mentioned in my last interview. I’ve grown so much since the last time we spoke and my focus has shifted.

Now that The cabin Boardshop is fully online, I’ve been able to truly dive back into design for clients and fully brand out concepts, find my niche is apparel/merch design, help out with makers market set ups, give tips on printing clothing, and set up e-commerce stores they can be proud of.

In short, I’ve been able to help people start or continue to grow their passion projects through fun and vibrant visual communication. And THAT makes me very happy in my work.

We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

Favorite Book: I like a few different genres, last book I read was Tatooist of Auschwitz and that was a good read. Picking up The Hobbit next soooo, we’ll see where I go from there!

Favorite Breakfast Food: Avocado toast with Smoked Salmon & an egg

What would the perfect day look like for you? Please give us as many details as possible.
oh a perfect day….hmmm

Starts off with a morning workout, then a trip to the ocean to touch the water and watch my boyfriend surf. Then we would take our doggo to play outside and I’d make some yummy food.
While my boyfriend and dog are passed out from surfing and eating (haha), I’d probably sneak in a dance sesh & learn something or maybe digitally paint an illustration I’d been thinking about.
Finally, we’d relax with some video games, more food of course and watch movies, maybe start the Harry Potter series again haha 🙂
