Meet Samantha Hill | Licensed Esthetician & Skin Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks is an important step to success. I personally believe that there is no loss when taking a risk. Taking risks has been the best action I have done for myself in my life/career. Through taking chances I have gained confidence, opened new opportunities, learned a ton, and built resilience for myself. Because of risks, I am resilient.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a Licensed Esthetician & Skin Therapist. I love skin and love to help people feel comfortable in their skin. I am most proud that I have created a business that actively practices inclusivity and have created a safe place for clients to come and express their skin concerns. I am excited to continue to learn and grow with my clients. I am also excited to see how big my business grows.
Today I got to where I am by going to Beauty school, going to medical assisting school, and studying the skin until I felt comfortable with treating it. It definitely wasn’t easy at first and I felt very lost along the way. I even contemplated not using my license but everything I did led me back to “SkinGlori”. I’ve overcome all my challenges by pushing through and taking everything in as a lesson. I never viewed my failures as a loss, they always taught me a lesson.
One specific lesson that I’ve learned is that skin care is not a “one product/treatment suits all”. It is important to understand that there are so many factors that contribute to our skin’s health. Find what works for you and stick with it!
I would love for the world to know that I am in love with my career and I approach every single client that I meet with compassion, an open mind, and understanding.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was in the city, I would take them to Bahn Thai for some delicious Thai food and then have a picnic at Kate Sessions park.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a shoutout to Deepak Chopra and his amazing books. His books are what personally has allowed me to transform myself into the person that I am today. I truly do believe that I would not be as driven about self-care if I never spent the time reading and analyzing his work. I also would like to give a shoutout to my family and friends that are still in connection with me today. They have been the biggest support system for me throughout my rocky journey. I wouldn’t be where I am without their encouragement.
