We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Cooper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Samantha, looking back, what do you think was the most difficult decision you’ve had to make?
With regards to my buisness, It was making the decision to move from a product based offering to a service based offering. This was mainly so difficult because it entailed fully coming out of my spiritual closet and incorporating my gifts as a spirit medium to my offerings. This was something I had been doing behind closed doors for a while, and I was nervous moving from product based buisness where I sold and made custom Malas and Jewelry, to offering more services such as readings, energy healing and teaching, I was unsure of how it would be received. The main reason I decided to make the shift was because I had hurt my shoulder, which forced me to drastically slow my production down. But that actually became a blessing in disguise, because it allowed me the space to move into the next phase of my own spiritual and personal development, which was developing my mediumistic gifts to share with others. One thing I have noticed is that my model is always unfolding and evolving. This is due to the fact that I am ever unfolding and evolving spiritually. I am a so grateful that the community was open to me evolving in this way and now what I do is based almost completely in service. I work with clients one on one in private sessions, where I blend a unique mix of energy work, meditation, Intuitive counseling and mediumship depending on the spiritual needs of the client. It’s very fluid, and no two sessions are ever the same in terms of what I do. At the end of the day I am teacher/coach/spiritual advisor, who empowers and helps to show others their spiritual potential.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am still growing. Nursing by day and talking to the dead by night . I like the balance it keeps me grounded. I don’t know if I will ever leave Nursing completely. I like having a mix of the two.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Encinitas to see the SRF meditation gardens, grab a bite at Swamis, or Beau Bo, a hike in Mission trails to the top of cowles mountain. And of course Coronados dog beach with my pups.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Husband who has supported my journey all the ups and downs and never looks at me like I am crazy, even though I talk to the dead. Lol! My dad who supported me always. My Mom in spirit who I know has guided me to every teacher and opportunity to learn and hone this gift. My good friend and fellow Healer Who told me many years ago I would be doing this work as a medium and I literally laughed in her face, Melanie Esperon. And to the many Mentors and teachers I have encountered in the Mediumship and spiritualist community, you know who you are. Thank you.
