We had the good fortune of connecting with Sage & Ella and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sage & Ella, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?

For Sage & Ella, Music is the foundation of their bond and both girls were born with Music in them!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Sage & Ella is a music duo of two 7 year-old girls. The story of this collaboration began when Sage was invited to Ella’s 7th birthday party. Sage’s mom overheard Ella’s dad talking to another parent about playing at the Belly Up Tavern. It turns out that Ella’s dad is a lifelong musician/songwriter as are both of Sage’s parents and the rest as they say, is history. A collaboration between both families ensued and the girls have officially released 3 original songs and more are coming with no end in sight! This is a passion project of music by kids for kids!

Ella: What sets us apart from others? Somehow our music just bonded us together and our voices sound great together!

Sage: Yeah, our voices sound perfect together! And we’re pretty much just connected. Lessons we’ve learned are that things can be hard and you need to take your time to get the right things to go right.

Ella: The more you try, you get better!

Sage: I want the world to know how we are both musicians and we both have a really great bond!

Ella: Yeah!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Sage: Well there’s one secret hideout I have at school!

Ella: Legoland!

Both: Beaches!

For restaurants, Ella loves Katana Sushi in Del Mar and Fidel’s Little Mexico in Solana Beach. Sage loves Harumama!

And we have to give our favorite parks a shoutout-

Sage: Olympus Park in Encinitas and Grandpa Park (Civita)

Ella: San Dieguito Park and Fletcher Cove Park

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sage & Ella: Taylor, Elle, Emma, Hana, Lorelei, Dominic, and Trager! They all sang on our first song, “Best Friends”! They helped get us where we are today.

Ella: And our parents! And Mrs. Steinberger.

Sage: And Mr. Herman! He helps us spread the music. He played our song multiple times at recess! And Mrs. Kranz because she’s been so supportive of my music and singing since Kindergarten!
