We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodney and Tyra Rich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rodney and Tyra, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think work life balance is a lot of work, but when your building for yourself and your family it feels less like work. Your 9-5 job is the hard part compared to running your own business. When you have a passion and love for serving great food and a smile it’s never viewed as work.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was working at Fed ex part time. Decided to start cooking food on my day off. The first time was on Super Bowl Sunday Feb 13, 2022. I sold 5 plates. The next week I had 15 orders placed, and by the 3rd week I had 30 Pre orders. Since that day we haven’t looked back. As a team we’ve learned a lot in 11 months, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place you must visit is any local Taco shop. Then follow that up with a Beach Sunset visit at Oceanside pier. Make your way down south and try and Hodad’s Burger in Ocean Beach. Stop By Culture Barbershop Lounge and grab a quick haircut from Taper Tage. Buccaneer Cafe is a hidden gem with a great breakfast menu..
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to thank all the people that has supported us along our Journey.
