We had the good fortune of connecting with Robyn King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robyn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to change the world 1 bite at a time. Create a healthy alternative while sharing proceeds to individuals with disabilities
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I look at each and every sweet treat as a masterpiece. Each day I put my all into the art, the practice, the craft! I am dedicated to my baking as it is my life. I once read that the definition of success was going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm, so even when something doesn’t turn out right whether in my baking, business, or life, I still have the enthusiasm to continue because of the love of my craft!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a local girl! I love the Temecula valley. I might start off at a local winery having breakfast, then perhaps take off to my second location… DISNEYLAND! I love all things Disney. The next day and most likely the rest of the time my friend was visiting I would hit Old Town Temecula! We could eat there everyday, see and learn more about the rich history, do wine tasting, olive oil tasting, and so much more! In the evening time perhaps unwind at a local pub, enjoy some music, and food, and celebrate life!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My father! He is a Vietnam Veteran and my hero. He stands by my side in business and more importantly in life. Of course there are other friends and family members I am grateful for… And I can never forget the consumer buying and supporting the brand and what we stand for!
