Meet Renee Porter | Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Porter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Renee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I absolutely love everything related to health and fitness. And I also love working with good people and being a part of their lives, helping them to strive and accomplish their goals. By starting my own business, I was able to be selective with my clientele. Imagine a working world where you enjoy and look forward to every hour and each person. Well, that’s the world and the business I created for myself.
When the pandemic hit, I knew immediately the world was about to change and quickly. I acted fast and built an outdoor gym a month after the California shut down. Focusing on mental health and physical activity for myself and my clients will always be a priority.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a full time Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach. I train 7 to 10 clients daily. What sets me apart, is my mindset and dedication. I am fully committed to my clients.
I am not a one hour trainer only spending time with my clients during their session. I am with my clients 24/7. My business is all about leading a “Full” healthy lifestyle.
I focus not only on physical activity and goals, but also nutrition, mental healthy and life experiences and advice. All of my clients become my friends and family.
Results and Success will come when you are part of a team! And that’s what my business and brand is all about, working together towards the same goal.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m originally from Wisconsin and moved to Los Angeles 7 years ago. I loved being raised in the Midwest, but Los Angeles has my heart.
If my best friend was visiting me in LA, I would plan the best itinerary. Of course, all of my friends are into health and fitness.
We would start our morning with some coffee and a great workout session at Golds Gym in Venice, the Mecca of bodybuilding. From there, we would hit up a brunch spot in Hollywood and either hike Runyon canyon or enjoy the beach in Santa Monica.
In the evening we would take a drive down the PCH towards Malibu enjoying the sunset along the way. And finish the evening with a lemon drop martini and ribeye at Mastros or a Lychee Martini waygu and sushi an Nobu..
And that’s just day 1! Los Angeles has so much to offer.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success, support and efforts for what I do, I would like to recognize my trainer and friend, Charles Glass, my mother, my clients and my friends.
With their continuous love, mentorship and encouragement I am able to be a better Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach, leader in the community, athlete and an all around better individual.
