We had the good fortune of connecting with Quiet Mile and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quiet Mile, why did you pursue a creative career?

Mitchell Raush- Lead Guitar – Vocals
Wolfgang Schultz- Lead Vocals – Rhythm Guitar
Troy Lombardo- Bass Guitar
Sam Lak – Drums

When the four of us came together for our first jam at Bomb Shelter rehearsal studios in Garden Grove, each of the us was driven by our own passion to be there.

We all knew it would be tough to make it today as musicians but, that really wasnt why we got together back in early 2020.

We wanted to put out original music that represented our pasts, the music that we grew up with, and the hours and hours we spent learning our instruments.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Quiet Mile is an original rock band that started back in early 2020. Due to Covid, we spent a year writing original music not really preparing for the bar scene we would be entering mid 2021.
Adding covers from our inspirations like Hendrix and RHCP to satisfy the bars, we realized how much more we rather play our own music.

The last year has been spent writing new music to replace covers while also creating a following through our live shows that enjoy our music as much or more then the covers we play.

Early this year we were able to put out our first album, self titled Quiet Mile in order to let our listeners get familiar with our sound. All recording/mixing/mastering were done in house by our lead singer and writer Wolfgang Schultz.

We are very proud of the album but will be releasing singles from now on in order to spotlight each song to the best of our abilities!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
October 13 we are competing in Battle of the Bands hosted at Belly Up in Solana Beach! You do not want to miss this show. Plus all proceeds will go to Charity!
Please come out to support as the more people we have, the better we will look to promoters!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Quiet Mile wants to thank all of our band members family and friends for supporting us with these last two years whether it was giving us practice and recording space to grow our music, offering space and stages to have gigs, or coming out to support us at our gigs, we wouldn’t be on the road we are on now without you all and we appreciate you all so much!
