We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscilla Arce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscilla, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking a risk by starting a business during the pandemic. After being laid off from my job due to the pandemic, which many have faced tragic events due to covid-19. On February 1, 2021 By Priscilla Arce was launched! I was so nervous about starting the business because I was not sure how the outcome was going to be. Especially having a steady income every month. Not knowing if events and weddings would open up again. I just jumped in and gave my all! I am so happy I took that risk because the love and support of family, friends and the community has been amazing! I know my mother would be so proud of my floral journey!

What should our readers know about your business?
By Priscilla Arce specializes in a unique blend of all types of florals (fresh, dried and preserved), workshops, local deliveries, weddings, events and more! I design beautiful blooms for all occasions to match each individual’s style and vision. I am know for my bridal bouquets, weddings, elopements and everlasting wall decor installations. I love taking something that has been dried or dead and creating something beautiful that is everlasting. You will always have something in your home or event that’s beautifully crafted to keep memories alive and to help create new ones. I love the fact that all of the dried and preserved florals can be shipped nationwide and has reached 15 different states. We have recently launched a candle collection and stationery items to our website! I am blessed to be able to create florals and gifts that brighten someone’s day, and I strive to delight my customers with every order!

Always blooming forward is our brand statement because no matter what season you’re in; remember to keep moving forward. This year we will be launching a non profit to give back to the community, more details will be coming this summer!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well there is so much to do in San Diego, we are truly spoiled here, haha!

Let’s go Padres! Going to a game at Petco Park, the food is great and the baseball field is located in the heart of the Gaslamp district.

Balboa park is a must, gorgeous gardens and museums. One of San Diego’s landmarks to go explore and take lots of pictures! After exploring stop and eat at the Prado for some tapas.

Little Italy is also a must, with so many amazing restaurants. Great for the whole family, there is such an amazing vibe. You can stop for ice cream at Salt & Straw and just stroll through little Italy deciding where to eat next!

Let’s not forget the beautiful beaches we have in San Diego! A fun morning hike at Torrey Pines State Beach or sunset hike. There are different types of hikes that over look the beach.

You can’t visit San Diego without going to Old Town!!! You can spend the whole day there with so many shops, restaurants and historic sites. A new restaurant opened called Mar Rustico which has amazing seafood. There are lots of traditional restaurants, my favorite is going to Casa de Reyes.

There is nothing like great Mexican food when visiting San Diego! Since we live 20min from the boarder, going to get tacos in TJ! And also exploring Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada. Wine country and amazing restaurant and hotels to make a great getaway weekend!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My love for flowers was planted by my beautiful mother; taking my mother’s dream of having her own floral shop, her dream and creativity continues to run through me today. She passed away a few years ago and flowers were so special to her. Taking a very dark season in my life and turning it into a season of beauty where everything I do is honoring my beautiful mother.

It was my husband Abraham that encouraged me to start By Priscilla Arce, supporting me through the journey! He is my number one supporter and encourages me daily!
