Meet Paula Rincón | Pola Unique Jewelry Founder and Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paula Rincón and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paula, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
90% of people don’t seem to realize how much gold actually costs. I’m often asked if my gold-plated pieces are 24K gold, and they nearly have a heart attack when I tell them how much it would cost to have them custom-made in solid gold—an option I do offer!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets my jewelry apart is the deep connection it creates with people, whether through the stories behind the pieces or their meaningful symbolism. Each design is an expression of individuality, blending timeless style with a personal touch that resonates with those who wear it. Reaching this point has been a rewarding journey, one that continues to inspire me every day. I’m incredibly proud of how my creations have evolved, and what excites me most is the opportunity to bring something meaningful into the lives of others. Through my brand, I aim to create pieces that foster connections and add true significance to the stories of those who wear them. This journey has taught me the power of staying true to my vision and the importance of creating with purpose.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you’re visiting Mallorca, here’s what I’d do, Start in Palma with breakfast at Can Joan de s’Aigo—it’s this old-school chocolate and ice cream spot that’s been around since the 1700s. Their ensaimadas are the best. Then just wander the Old Town—explore the little streets, check out some of the old churches and convents, and walk along the city walls. Definitely stop for a vermut at Mercat de l’Olivar, and later grab drinks at Bar La Sang, a super cool natural wine bar that I love.
From there, you’ve got to explore the west coast. Valldemossa is such a pretty village, and Deià has this gorgeous vibe—stop at Hotel Corazón for lunch or a cocktail. You should also check out smaller villages like Banyalbufar and Fornalutx—they’re quieter but absolutely beautiful, with amazing views. End the day in Port de Sóller with a drink and food at Bar Blai, right by the sea as the sun sets—it’s magic. For beach days, head south to spots like Es Trenc or Cala Mondragó. The water is unreal.
And of course, make time to go back to Palma before you leave. Visit La Seu Cathedral if you haven’t already—it’s stunning— Mallorca is just full of surprises, it’s hard to go wrong!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A heartfelt shoutout to my husband, whose talent and support mean the world to me and our brand. With his expertise as a 3D artist, he helps bring my designs to life, adding that extra touch of magic to my creative vision. From our cozy home studio overlooking the Mediterranean we work shoulder to shoulder to create jewelry collections that are as meaningful as they are timeless. Grateful for this amazing relationship and the partnership we’ve built.
