Meet Paige Freier | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Freier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I had been doing photography for about six years before I finally felt confident enough to start my own business. I was a manager at a restaurant and in January of this year decided to take the plunge and go after what I love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I found photography later in my life but I immediately fell in love with creating art. My work is shown at the lat bookstore in Los Angeles and has been published which is something I’m very proud of. I photograph women and highlight the relationship they have with the environment around them. I’m just starting out on this journey and I’m very excited for what comes next.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely adore the Salton Sea and Salvation mountain. Those are definitely must sees for anyone who comes to stay with me. I love all the back roads and abandoned places that are in San Diego county. Alex Tacos in San Marcos is my favorite taco spot!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Taylor Bartram and Amy Jasmine have helped me immensely in my craft. They gave their me their knowledge freely. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
