Meet Nina Camille: Teacher, Coach, Healer, Creator of Experience Freedom

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nina Camille and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Authenticity. I’m a teacher, coach, healer and space-holder, and if I don’t do my own work first, I don’t have anything truly of value to offer others. If I’m not able to hold myself in true compassion, I am not able to hold others in compassion. The reason my business and practice has become so successful is because it’s trustworthy, it’s real, and it’s an extension of who I actually am in the world. Giving more of who you really are allows others to connect more deeply to you, and in a world where we are often our own brand, being authentic and vulnerable is necessary in order to have a sustained offering.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a business called Experience Freedom, a 14-week group online program that includes a week-long in-person luxury retreat. It’s a container for men and women looking to open their hearts, connect more deeply, discover who they are, and live a purposeful, expressive life of freedom and joy. I’ve been running it for three years, and it’s the most fun and fulfilling thing I’ve ever done with my life! The catapult success of my business was a result of being willing to look deeply within myself, heal my trauma, illuminate and courageously offer my gifts, hire coaches and invest substantially in myself and my growth. I hired experts to teach me what I didn’t know, I added in all my own business experience, I was willing to be vulnerable and do the big thing that scared me. I’d say that any level of success is directly related to your courage, heart and curiosity. You have to love what you’re creating so much you’re willing to fail at it. You also have to be willing to work your ass off. Even if you’re running a deeply spiritual business, it still needs structure, SOPs, accounting, bookkeeping, and all the things that creative people may not love (or vice versa if you love the structure but are afraid of putting your creativity out there). It requires all parts of you to come online, which is such a huge gift to yourself – you realize what you’re really capable of, and you realize it fast. Having a balanced energetic approach to your business – both the masculine “doing” and the feminine “receiving” – is one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned as an entrepreneur. Sometimes you need to do more, and sometimes, you have done everything you can and it’s best to take a break or go play. Discovering when to apply which energetic approach is really the magic. I love sharing my story and my journey in hopes that it will inspire others to expand outside their perceived zone of safety and share their magic. We all have a gift to give this life, and the more humans who are willing to openly share those gifts, the more beautiful this world will be. If you told me 5 years ago that I’d be running international retreats all over the world, with people I absolutely love, making multiple six figures, doing only what I truly love to do, I would have called you crazy. And here I am, living my dream every single day. If it can be true for me, it can be true for you, and I’m committed to making that available for every person who’s willing to do the work in order to realize it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love San Diego, and I often feel like a tourist when I’m home because I travel so often! My perfect weekend would start with time on the beach at Windansea, brunch at Trilogy, and spending as much time in nature as possible. For lunch, I love Peace Pies, going for a bike ride around the bay, and cruising around La Jolla. I love Sushi Nekosan (they have a vegan sushi menu too!) for dinner, and enjoying sunset from Windansea or Sunset Cliffs is always a great choice. The meditation gardens in Encinitas are also quite special, and I love Eve for snacks if you’re in N County!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout to all my clients and friends who are willing to do the inner work and show up with their gifts. Really, anyone on the planet who is willing to open, see what’s there, and live a life of freedom, authenticity, and connection. Those of us who are willing to open are the ones creating the more peaceful and harmonic world we’d like to live in. Thank you friends!
