We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicolle Morazan Mendez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicolle, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I have been an aesthetic nurse for over 14 years now and throughout the years, I have learned how to not only perfect my craft but also stay balanced. At the beginning of my career, I became a mother and now have 2 boys, they are my inspiration to keep going and to continue to aspire for more. I recently decided it was finally time to go back to school and accomplish my goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner. As a single mom, I am working a full-time job, covering 4 different cities as well as going to school. At times it can be overwhelming but what keeps me ahead is planning and staying on top of my assignments. On the rare occasion that there is downtime, I start working on my next assignments or projects for work. I do not like to do things at the last minute so planning ahead of time is what keeps me balanced.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an aesthetic nurse with over 14 years of experience, it sets me apart as an expert injector and clinician among my peers. I have received numerous certifications in lasers, injectables and skincare to name a few. My expertise has allowed me to travel to different states for advanced training and seminars. I began my career shortly after graduating from nursing school and it is all I have ever done as a registered nurse. Throughout the years I have learned so much about medical aesthetics and yearn to continue to learn better techniques so that I can give an even better result. I appreciate a natural approach to helping patients reach their aesthetic goals. It’s definitely a partnership and a long-lasting relationship as we get to know each other better.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the beach so I would have to say, Carmel. It has been a favorite of mine since I was in college. The beach and the views are absolutely breathtaking. There are so many great restaurants but one of my recent favorites is 7th and Dolores. Everything I have tried there has been amazing. I especially loved the french onion soup and their perfectly cooked steak. They have beautiful wineries and trails. To complete the tour, I would give take them to our beautiful office in Carmel

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to both of my amazing teams! Wunderbar at Korman Plastic Surgery and Cupertino Facial Esthetics.
