Hi Natalie, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
A party without Cake is just a Meeting! -Julia Child I couldn’t have said it better myself, because it’s TRUE! I mean, if there’s no Cake, are you really celebrating something? LOL!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sweet as Love has always been my Dream, to bring happiness and joy to others thru sweets. I LOVE baking for others and seeing the bliss on their face when they 1st see the Cake I’ve created! My favorite thing to hear is, “OMG that’s a Cake?! That’s INCREDIBLE!” Building a business definitely doesn’t happen overnight. You have to be OBSESSED with your business! Eat, sleep, and breathe your business, and always be on your Grind in order to succeed! I’m constantly fine tuning my skills, and learning new techniques. I want everyone to know SWEET AS LOVE! You can even watch me in action on Food Network’s SPRING BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP Season 7!!! I came in 2nd place, beating out 10 other Chefs!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Laguna Beach definitely has some AMAZING hidden beaches among the coves. There’s the Pirate Tower hidden amongst Victoria Beach, this is always a really kool place to see! I do love walking along all the Art galleries and shops of Laguna Beach. Lupe’s of Dana Point is a staple in our House, the fish tacos are where it’s at! The sopes at El Campeon in San Juan Capistrano are bomb!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Richard Soto, who is also a Pastry Chef for Surf and Sands in Laguna Beach. He’s always been my creative soundboard, someone to not only bounce ideas off of, but to help bring the idea to life!
