We had the good fortune of connecting with Minye Cho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Minye, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
My business is all about helping people bring their creative visions to life. As a producer, I love connecting clients with the right teams—whether that’s talented directors, crew, or technicians—and making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

I also know that not everyone has a huge budget for creative projects, and I genuinely enjoy finding ways to make things work. Whether it’s negotiating quotes or coming up with budget-friendly solutions, I’m always looking for ways to make their vision happen without compromising on quality.

It’s rewarding to see people achieve what they thought might be out of reach. Helping others create something they’re proud of feels like the best way to make an impact.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This summer, I worked on one of my proudest (and toughest) projects yet—music videos for Rescene, a debut girl group with big dreams. It was an intense collaboration with Downy Jung, our directors, and a team that even flew in from headquarters to make it happen.

It was easily the hardest project I’ve ever done. Three sleepless days, 20+ hour workdays, and a schedule that seemed impossible—we shot two music videos across the desert, a blocked-off DTLA street, and three locations in a single day. Honestly, I still don’t know how we did it, but we made it happen.

This project taught me so much, especially about making creative visions come to life, even when it feels impossible. I’ve learned that turning big ideas into reality takes grit, problem-solving, and sometimes learning lessons the hard way. One big takeaway? Communication is everything. Most of my challenges as a producer have come from not communicating clearly enough, but this project really pushed me to improve.

The most rewarding moment came after it was all done. I almost cried when I saw a comment on YouTube under the Love Attack video that said, “This music video’s budget is crazy.” In that moment, all the stress, the sleepless nights, and the challenges felt worth it. That comment made me feel like we really accomplished something, and it completed the whole experience for me.

It wasn’t easy, but it was a turning point. I’ll plan better (and definitely sleep more!) next time, but I’ll always remember this project as proof of what’s possible when you give it everything you’ve got.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m such a boring person—I only have two places I can think of, but I truly love them: the Arts District and DTLA.

Start the trip in the heart of the Arts District—my LA core. It’s full of creative energy, street art, and great spots to just relax. Grab a coffee or mocktail at a cozy patio bar like Pali Wine Co(Now is Neighborhood). We’ll sit, take in the sunset, and just enjoy the vibe. Sometimes, the best moments happen in silence, just soaking up the city together.

And then there’s DTLA, my second core. I’d get breakfast at Cherry Pick Cafe or a Hot Bar from Whole Foods. Add a kumquat coffee to that, and it’s perfect. I love to just walk around, take in the city’s energy, and see where the day takes us.

It’s simple, but it’s my kind of fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to my EP and big brother figure, Downy Jung. I met him in the summer of 2021, right after I moved to LA. Helping out on one of his projects back then set the foundation for where I am today.

Downy has been more than just a mentor—he’s been a source of encouragement, tough love, and guidance. He’s truly my 선배 (senior/mentor in Korean), and with him, I can honestly share the ups and downs of being a producer. Having someone you can lean on is a blessing, but having someone who truly understands and communicates with you on a deep level is rare.

Because of him, I’ve found the strength to push forward, and he’s inspired me with the hope that one day I can become the kind of leader and role model he’s been to me. Downy doesn’t just support me – he’s shaped the way I approach my work and the values I hold as a producer.
