We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Goncalves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mike, one of the most rewarding things about getting to know so many entrepreneurs and creatives is seeing first-hand how many of them are focused on so much more than just financial results. So many of the folks we connect with are focused on having a positive social impact on their community or the world at large. Can you talk to us about how you are helping the community?
We all have a unique set of skills, talents, and gifts that no one else has. Problem is, life happens and along the way (starting at an early age) we get programmed to think we can’t do something, or we’re not good enough, smart enough, worthy enough, have the look, the means, the friends, resources (all limiting beliefs) to be successful. To do the things we want to do, that lite us up. Tapping into our own unique talents, gifts, and skills to make a difference, an impact not just in our own lives by doing work we love and believe in, work that fulfills us and brings us joy and happiness, but an impact in the lives of others too that we serve with our unique skills, talents, and gifts. The fact that 3 in 4 people are unhappy with their jobs and the work they do in terrible, unacceptable. This isn’t how we are meant to live our lives. We are ALL leaders (leaders of one) leading ourselves to do the things we must do in order to do and achieve the results we’ve decided we can, must, and WILL achieve. Not just for our benefit, but for the benefits of those we love, care for, and serve. It starts with every person, every employee, believing they matter, their work matters, that they have what it takes to be great, to achieve all it is they want with the right mindset and strategies in place (which is the work I do and provide those I work with).

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Mike is on a mission to make a global impact on the way small businesses and start-ups operate, grow, and succeed with his unique high-energy and creative approach to motivational leadership. His keynote talks, workshops, and podcast continue to make a global impact reaching millions of people in hundreds of countries across the globe. He’s worked with and consulted for many reputable small businesses and start-ups across different industries including health, wellness, financial, software, and non-profit organizations. His unique approach to motivational leadership coaching helps build individual competencies that cultivates a purposeful passion-driven spirit in every person within the organization helping them see their role in the organization in entirely new ways. Mike does this through his coaching services, workshops, and live events. Was it easy? No. Wouldn’t be fun or worth it if it were easy, The only reason I am where I am today is because of the challenges, hurdles, and obstacles I’ve had to overcome that have given me the strength, focus, discipline, and vision for what it is I want to do and accomplish. Overcoming the challenges starts with understanding WHY I wanted to accomplish what I was out to accomplish… it’s my WHY that kept me going during the toughest of times and that keeps me going still today. There are countless lessons I’ve learned along the way. A few worth mentioning here are: Regardless of what you’re out to achieve, it’s a must that you 1) have the right mindset going in 2) have clear and specific goals WRITTEN DOWN that you want to achieve 3) have the right habits in place that will support you achieving these goals and 4) have the right strategies in place to keep you motivated to keep going since success takes TIME. What I want people to know about my brand is that I believe you, me, all of us are here to excel, to be successful. To leverage our gifts to make a difference, an impact not just in our lives but in the lives of those we care for, love, and serve. Success isn’t overnight, it takes time, hard work, patience, commitment, and faith that all will work out. Without discipline, we’ll never get started, without consistency, we’ll never finish. Both are integral ,parts to being successful and achieving our goals. Lastly, success truly is the process, the journey, never the destination.
