We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Fenyoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have gone through many struggles throughout my life – most recently enduring a narcissistic abusive marriage. When I finally left that marriage, I was left traumatized, empty and damaged. Often times she had no idea how I was going to continue.

I felt so damaged and empty. When I tapped into my inner being, the messages I received were: “You’re worthless.” “You’re not wanted.” And the worst one…“You are not good enough!”’

I created a story in my head that I wasn’t good enough. I wasn’t a good wife, therapist, daughter, sister, friend.

I had hit my rock bottom. Lowest of the low.

I had nothing else left to do but to start over

Being a Mental Health Therapist for the last 15 years, I turned to the skills I taught so many of my clients. I wrote on a note card why I was enough and began repeating this day after day. Every time I thought, “I’m not good enough,” out came the card.

The more I repeated why she was enough each day I was able to create more powerful affirmations and was able to reprogram my subconscious mind into believing the repeated statements.

I was able to finally begin to believe she was enough.

This belief allowed me to recover from the abuse, recover from my shame, guilt and powerlessness.

Once I came to believe I truly was enough, I began visualizing ways to make an impact in this world and in 2018 I launched the I AM ENOUGH movement™. In the first 9 months the movement reached all 50 states and 22 countries. In 2020 the I AM ENOUGH movement™ became a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My journey of becoming a Licensed Mental Health Therapist was not easy. I knew I wanted to help people, but I have a learning disability and when I was in high school my guidance counselor told me that I should never go to college because I was never going to graduate. Little did I know that at that exact moment I would begin working tirelessly to prove him and myself wrong. I successfully graduated with my master’s degree and I am licensed to practice therapy in both Michigan and California.

After being a therapist in the civilian world for 10 years, I was given the opportunity to commissioned as an officer (Captain) in the Air Force in 2012. I moved from Michigan to California and was stationed at Travis Air Force Base. I served for 3 years and then seperated from service. I now have my own private mental health practice.

Working as a Mental Health Therapist for the past 17 years, I am considered an expert in my field. My area of expertise is the mind and the way it affects behavior and well-being.

Through coaching, leadership, consulting and speaking engagements, I have helped hundreds of people accurately assess their challenges and identify ways they can change – capitalizing on the strengths they already have while building new ones.
I focus on cognitive restructuring and reality testing thoughts as well as a host of other Cognitive-Behavioral Techniques (CBT). I have a sustained commitment to facilitating positive transformation and human-to-human connection with each person I work with.

Becoming a 2x Best-Selling Author and starting my nonprofit all happened in the last 3 years and I never ever expected these things to happen. I am living proof that with the right mindset you can truly build the life of your dreams.

My passion and purpose is to help you (1) build confidence, (2) find clarity in getting what you truly want in life (3) get inspired to take action towards building the life of your dreams, and (4) empower you to believe you are enough!
