Meet Manny Romero | Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Manny Romero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Manny, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about my industry that others might not be fully aware of is the profound impact that guided self-discovery and emotional awareness can have on relationship dynamics. Many people might view relationship counseling as solely addressing conflicts and communication issues, but the depth of transformation that occurs through fostering personal growth and emotional intelligence often exceeds expectations. By honing in on self-awareness and understanding our own emotions, we unlock the door to more authentic connections and create a solid foundation for lasting, harmonious relationships. It’s not just about fixing problems; it’s about creating a future that’s both fulfilling and deeply meaningful.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a private practice in San Clemente Ca. At its core, my business isn’t just about counseling; it’s a transformative journey that empowers men aged 25-35 to rebuild trust, ignite personal growth, and create authentic, lasting connections. What truly sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to guiding individuals through the often challenging process of embracing vulnerability and emotional awareness. My own personal journey of overcoming relationship struggles fuels my passion to help others. I believe that every individual has the potential to rewrite their story, and my brand is all about providing the tools, support, and guidance to make that happen. Through a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and genuine care, I’m here to help men create a future filled with deep connections, personal growth, and the fulfillment they deserve.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to the beach. I’m a big foodie so we’d be getting some brunch at Fisherman’s Restaurant by the pier. We’d walk around the beach for a few hours. Grab a cold beer at Pizza Port and probably find a pick up soccer game at the local parks. I’m a big fan of grilling so I’d probably want to impress them by making some ribs using my signature rib rub. (Shout out to an old co worker Mike for passing over that recipe!)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my parents for helping me push through the educational challenges I encountered in high school and their reinforcing messages that I was capable to achieve a higher education degree and build a professional career. I’d also like to thank my counselors along the way so many helped me navigate classes, provide mentorship around selecting my career. Additionally all the professors and companies who took a chance on me and invested their time and resources to help me learn and develop.
