Meet Malika Fudge | Expressive Arts Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Malika Fudge and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Malika, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My business concept was inspired by a very personal event. I began as a one-on-one educator for a student with autism, and we both found immense joy in our arts and crafts projects during our time together. It got me thinking: could this be something more than just a daily activity?
As I delved deeper into my work, I realized the significance of emotional regulation and emotional intelligence for my student. That’s when the lightbulb moment occurred. I decided to combine our shared love for art with the crucial need for emotional development.
In order to create a special service, I set out on a quest to combine the creative process with emotional intelligence. This choice was made with the intention of establishing something significant and lasting, not merely a business.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is all about empowering people to reclaim their self-confidence and embrace self-care via the therapeutic power of artistic expression, especially older sisters dealing with perfectionism. My approach blends mindful expressive arts with mindset coaching to offer a holistic route towards emotional balance and self-compassion, is what makes me unique.
I’m very proud of the adventures those I serve have gone through under my direction. What inspires me every day is seeing their development and the beneficial effects on their life.
The path that got me to where I am now was paved with challenges, but each one served as a springboard for growth. It wasn’t simple, but I’ve learned that perseverance and a strong dedication to my purpose can get me through any difficulty. The most important lesson I’ve learned is that everyone has enormous strength inside them, ready to be released.
I want the world to know that everyone can recover and find themselves, and that creative self-care is a joyful and powerful approach to nourish your emotional wellbeing. My business’s goals and brand are to promote authenticity and dismantle the obstacles that perfectionism might create.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate a special shoutout to my mentor, Ms. Anique. She was my saving grace during a challenging time when I needed help getting back into university due to financial paperwork mishaps. I had been out of school for three semesters and didn’t have the owed tuition to re-enroll.
Ms. Anique’s unwavering support, encouragement, and advocacy were nothing short of incredible. She saw the determination in my heart despite the obstacles and never let me give up hope. She became a trusted listening ear during that critical period.
Her dedication and belief in me were not only inspiring but also instrumental in my journey to where I am today. Ms. Anique, thank you for being such a significant part of my story and for showing me the power of mentorship and unwavering support.
