We had the good fortune of connecting with Lital Yohay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lital, why did you pursue a creative career?
I don’t think it was a choice to become an artist. I think whenever I approached music and fell inlove with music, it was and still a healing tool I use for myself to deal with stress in life. along the way I realized that I have a gift and I never chose it, I was born with it and this is what I lead to become as a natural thing. I really believe that everybody is born for something with abilities that help others in life and I hope to heal people with my music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love mixing all kinds of genres in my music. It feels to me much more alive and fun. I create jazz music combined with pop, rock, blues, soul, funk, afro -latin, electronic and theatrical music. I think that as an artist challenges are never ending. everybody has ups and downs in life. it’s all about continuing doing what you love the most with passion and having fun without forgetting the process you need to go through as a person. I have learned alot and I think I am always up for learning more. I have been exposed to the marketing field as a business woman. I had a local business as a vocals and drums teaching for 8 years, while the business was running, I took a marketing studies and copywriting studies. it showed me it is not very far from being an artist, because if you want to be a great business/ selling/ marketing woman- it is definitely an art to do it well. in todays world a musician has to be aware of the marketing performance ads field to be in the game in a successful way. get involved and not being blind to just label’s calls.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Because I am a quiet person, most likely I would take my friend to a relaxing spa or an escape room because I really love riddles experience, later on bowling and kickboxing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dear grandma passed away on July 5th 2020 and i want to dedicate this article to her. She was my best friend. I want to thank her for the support that she gave me. Every time I was coming back from school crying of bullying from the kids, she always got my back with a cheer up and emotional support telling me I am unique. She gave me the power to believe in myself. I will greatly miss her and I know her spirit is with me.
