Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting San Diego, I’d plan a mix of iconic sights, beach vibes, and incredible food to make it unforgettable. We’d start in La Jolla with breakfast at The Cottage before exploring the sea caves and watching the sea lions at the cove. A visit to Balboa Park would be a must, with its stunning museums and the world-famous San Diego Zoo, followed by dinner at Juniper and Ivy in Little Italy. For a laid-back beach day, we’d hit Pacific Beach, rent bikes along the boardwalk, and enjoy tacos at Oscar’s Mexican Seafood before catching the sunset at The Marine Room.

Other highlights would include biking around Coronado Island, visiting Hotel del Coronado, and taking a harbor cruise to soak in skyline views. We’d explore Sunset Cliffs for breathtaking coastal scenery and spend a day wine-tasting in Temecula or enjoying apple pie in Julian. Meals would range from casual bites like Hodad’s burgers in Ocean Beach to upscale dining at Coasterra on the waterfront. From the beaches to the mountains and everything in between, San Diego offers the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and incredible food!
