We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesley Wirth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lesley, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my own business because I wanted women to have a space they could learn how to hear and be guided from their heart, while deeply honoring their truth, their story, their pain, and their courage.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My mission is to help women who are experiencing a “dark night of the soul” find their way to deep and unshakeable self-assurance so they can stand firmly in their value and create a brighter future, regardless of what they’ve been through or how much pain they are currently in.

I do this through sharing what I discovered from walking through the fire myself, and leading them through releasing their pain and shame, while reclaiming their voice, honing their intuitive power, and supporting them in opening to higher and higher levels of Grace so they don’t have to do it alone.

We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, and what you are most proud of or excited about.
I truly am dedicated to living a life where integrity is at the forefront of all I am doing and teaching. I listen… deeply. To my heart, body, soul, and my guidance. I am also willing to be completely human- a woman who will say, “Yes, I struggle with this,” or, “I am angry, jealous, or insecure about this.”

If we can’t be authentic with ourselves, than we have no business asking others to be authentic. So I am proud of that. I am proud that I find healing in creative expression, being the first one willing to expose her heart, and stand in the truth of something, rather than bypassing what makes me human. We have forgotten our humanity is sacred and it’s funny to me that people believe they have to overcome it somehow.

How did you get to where you are today professionally? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
After I received my masters in spiritual psychology, I went on to coach women one-on-one, and then taught workshops in yoga studios, healing centers, and online. I also created two programs. One is called Poetry for Healing, which helps women write, speak, and heal out loud within a group setting. It can be hard for people to express what they need to in order to truly heal, but when you make art with your life, you actually pull yourself out of collapse and channel your emotions into something beautiful and powerful. I have seen women reclaim parts of themselves they didn’t believe they could get back. It’s extraordinary to see and be a part of.

The second program is called The Power of Your Intuition, which helps women learn how their unique, intuition works, so they can make decisions based on their soul’s wisdom and truly be guided to the highest outcome possible for them. It’s imperative women get beyond cliché answers to questions like, “Is this my fear or is this my intuition,” and truly have a deeper understanding of what is going on for them so they can heal and live from a place of self-trust.

I also worked in end-of-life for over six years, helping people plan how they wanted their last days to look. I have a huge place in my heart for people who are sick and for those who are caring for them. These are the real heroes.

The challenges have really been about not buying into what others think I should be doing. I don’t normally say what is popular. I don’t provide bullet points for healing. I don’t market to the masses. And because of this, I have grown more slowly than I could have over time. But I would be uncomfortable following the heard. So, I guess it’s not about overcoming the challenges, as much as it’s about having the courage to stay true to my own heart.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
I have learned that within all of us there is an incredibly powerful spirit.

I have learned that when we are willing to express our fears, pains, and confusion, we are gifted with higher levels of healing because we opened our hearts to do so. An open heart is a magnet for Grace to come to us.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?”
I want the world to know that you are not here to suffer. You are here to find the light!

In all I do, that is what I bring with me. Every mentorship. Every program. Every call. This is what I want you to remember.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You really cannot beat Southern California weather and so we would be at the beach, hiking Elfin Forest, and trying to find any location where we can exhale.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love this question!

My father is someone who is a huge inspiration to me. He has gone through incredible challenges and come out the other side, softer, more generous, kind, and helpful. This can be hard to do at times, and I know what he has faced and I know his strength. I can only hope to be as forgiving and loving as he has become. I hold so much respect for him and I feel honored to have grown so close to him as I have gotten older. He is a huge gift in my life.
