Meet Lauren Brooke | Floral Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Brooke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren Brooke, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my floristry business as a creative outlet, fueled by my love for design and the simple joy of creating something with my hands. I initially began my admiration for flowers by participating in flower bouquet pop-ups at local storefronts. From there, friends and family began asking me to create their wedding florals. Over time, flowers became my preferred design medium. I’ve always been drawn to the way flowers can transform a space, and I wanted to channel my passion into something meaningful. I started offering thoughtfully curated floral designs at a reasonable price to engaged couples. I fell in love with the fact that my work became part of so many special moments and celebrations.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My floral design is all about creating art that feels intentional, heartfelt, and timeless. I don’t just arrange flowers, I design experiences. I love mixing color palettes, unique textures, and organic shapes to create pieces that feel both luxurious and authentic.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. There were moments of doubt, creative blocks, and the challenges of running a business. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth isn’t linear. Some of my greatest breakthroughs came after what felt like setbacks. I’ve learned to embrace the process, trust my instincts, and let passion lead the way. But every setback taught me something valuable, how to trust my instincts, stay curious, and keep going even when it’s tough.
What I want people to know about my brand is that it’s rooted in connection. It’s not just about flowers; it’s about creating meaningful moments that leave a lasting impression.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Temecula, CA has so much to offer. I would recommend visitors start their trip at Le Coffee Shop in Old Town Temecula for yummy coffee and breakfast. After breakfast, we would take a stroll and explore the unique mom-and-pop shops. There are several locally made goodies. A fun night out in Old Town Temecula could include line dancing at Stampede.
Another fun area is Vail headquarters, a historic park with lots of specialty restaurants. There are also some activities to do like a pottery class at Temecula Clay. For lunch, we would walk over to The Local Provisions for a delicious burger and craft cocktails.
Finally, we would make sure to swing by one of the many wineries. I love all of the wine selections at Altisima Winery. It’s a very popular spot with live music and a view of the vineyards. Another favorite is Europa Village Winery. They have a few different tasting rooms but make sure to check out their Italian-inspired tasting room, the Vienza. And finally, a third-favorite would be Somerset Winery, simply because they are open late and always have a couple of food trucks for a late-night snack.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My floral design journey wouldn’t be what it is without the support of so many amazing people, but if I had to give a shoutout, it would be to the clients I’ve had the honor of working with so far. From close friends to celebrities, their belief in my design abilities, especially during times when I doubted myself, has truly been the foundation of my growth. Their encouragement, honest feedback, and trust have reminded me of my ‘why,’ even when things felt overwhelming. I also owe a lot to the incredible entrepreneurs and creatives I’ve crossed paths with along the way. Podcasts like *Botanical Brouhaha* by Amy McGee and *The Venue Podcast* by Kinsey Roberts and Lindsay Lucas have been such sources of inspiration, along with the uplifting conversations I’ve had with fellow creatives. Surrounding myself with people who are passionate about what they do has been a constant reminder that success isn’t just about talent but about perseverance, community, and heart.
