We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristina Yarmolich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristina, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote is: “What is it all works out?.” I believe that if you put in the effort and trust the universe, things will align for you. It’s a positive affirmation I remind myself of when times get tough. In the end, you’re exactly where you need to be, learning exactly what you need to learn. There’s a reason people say that one day you’ll look back and realize everything happened for a reason—and for the better. If you do the work and approach life with kindness, there’s no way you won’t be rewarded. And the moment you let go of expectations, things begin to fall into place. It always works out.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I first came to study acting at the Meisner Technique Studio, I had no aspirations of becoming an actor. Honestly, I started the training purely for professional and personal development. I’ve always been a pretty anxious person, and at the time, I wasn’t comfortable with public speaking or putting myself out there in that way.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve had the opportunity to work on major productions and act in commercials for brands like McDonald’s, Google, Apple, Included Health, Cisco, and more. What I’m most proud of — and what I believe has truly set me apart — is my continuous desire to build confidence and grow. Of course, in acting, you can (and should!) take classes and work on your craft, but another crucial part of success is believing in yourself, knowing you deserve the opportunities that come your way, and being willing to keep going no matter how hard it gets.

When I graduated from the Meisner Technique Studio, I signed with my first agent and began auditioning. Some of those early auditions were nerve-wracking — I felt insecure, and I didn’t always feel like I was doing well. But with time, practice really did make a difference. The more I auditioned, the more confident I became. I learned more about the industry, built relationships, and slowly expanded my representation into other markets. That opened doors to bigger projects and helped me grow my portfolio.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my story, it’s that consistency and perseverance are everything. The more you show up, the more you grow. Every small step brings you closer to where you want to be.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d definitely split the trip between San Francisco and LA. There’s just too much good stuff in both places.

In SF, we’d start with coffee at Snowy Plover. It’s this amazing drink from Andytown Coffee that I love. Then probably grab breakfast at Breadbelly — their pastries are unreal. I’d take them on a run in the Marina or a bike ride along the water with Golden Gate Bridge views. It’s touristy but still my favorite. And yes, we’d absolutely go to Fisherman’s Wharf. That’s where I had my first job at Fisherman’s Grotto, so it’s kind of nostalgic. We’d eat fish and chips and clam chowder in a bread bowl.

We’d explore Golden Gate Park, check out the Japanese Tea Garden, maybe watch the sunset at Ocean Beach or Lands End. And I’d take them to some cool local coffee spots like Motoring Coffee, and grab dinner somewhere in the Marina or Japantown.

Then we’d head down to LA. I’d take them to a Groundlings show. It’s always hilarious and such a classic LA experience. We’d do a beach day in Santa Monica, maybe bike along the boardwalk to Venice.

In LA, we’d hit up some of my favorite food spots like Gjusta, Manuella, the Grand Central Market, the Arts district, and probably some food trucks for tacos. We’d finish our trip with a day at Disneyland — one of my favorite places on Earth!

Messaging my bestie to come visit me, because now I really want to do all these things 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I believe it’s people who make the real difference in the world. As an introvert, I choose my friends very carefully. I don’t easily befriend people, but when I do, they become my closest and most trusted circle.

Some of the most instrumental people in my journey have been my husband, Anthony, who supported me every step of the way as I pursued a degree at UC Berkeley, attended the Meisner Technique Studio for acting, and worked full time. It hasn’t been easy, but he stood by my side through it all.

I also want to give a shoutout to my dear friends — Yana, Yuliya, Ksenia, Jackie, and a few more — who mean so much to me and have been part of my support system.

I’m a big believer that anyone striving to achieve something new, build a career, or simply not settle for less needs a mentor. My acting teacher, Jim Jarrett, has been both an incredible inspiration and a guiding force during my two-year Meisner Technique training. I never imagined I’d be able to do what I do now, and his mentorship played a huge role in that.
