Meet Kristen Beaulac | Owner of Tay and Lexi Clothing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen Beaulac and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, what inspires you?
My two daughters Taylor and Alexis inspire me everyday. They are the reason that I started my business and why I named it Tay & Lexi Clothing. Their energy and joy for life make me want to create something for women to wear feeling happy and comfortable. I am dedicated to creating products that inspire, excite, and compliment women. Knowing women who are wearing my product inspires me to continue creating supportive and eco0friendly swimsuits that make them feel confident.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Based in Huntington Beach, our company focuses on swim suits and attire that can support you in all types of activities or lounging. Tay & Lexi takes pride in utilizing eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics to help do our part in making a difference in the ecosystem we all share. We place an emphasis on shopping small and local in order to help support those around us, along with donating a portion of our proceeds to local charities, such as: Bracken’s Kitchen, Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, and Robyne’s Nest. Tay & Lexi believes- Stay active, educate yourself, love yourself, and look cute while creating your journey in life.

We are excited to say that we have recently expanded by now including men’s trunks in our swimwear line, as well as selling some of our product in different hotels and boutiques within California.

A lesson I’ve learned is that things usually take longer and cost more than you originally plan. In production, I have learned how to set a time line and budget range to account for the fluctuations that may occur along the way. It is always good to be prepared.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Huntington Beach our favorite spots to get coffee are Sweet Elle’s and Corner Market in downtown. Our favorite places to eat are Ola Mexican Kitchen, Sugar Shack, and the newly opened Sandbar cocina. Our favorite breweries to grab drinks are Four Sons, Riip, and Flashpoint. Some great places to hang out are at Sealegs at the Beach and on the beach by the pier. The cutest places to shop are Dash of Sass, Huntington Surf and Sport, and Pacific City.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
