We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin (KJ) Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin (KJ), do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
There’s no such thing as giving up

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I knew starting my art career was gonna be difficult. I knew it was gonna be a challenge and I was prepared to make those necessary sacrifices to see that my dreams came true. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best to push forward and give out the best of my creative ability and even learn some new techniques and styles that I may want to implement. I don’t know I feel creativity is something that comes from the heart and is given form in the mind. As long as your heart feels for your project your mind will make it into an image. It’s like getting a ball of clay you morphing into something something that you think is unique. Something special.

I have overcome challenges before in the past, mainly dealing with death, and just a lot of depression. It correlates into a lot of my artwork and my photography. How I overcome those challenges is very simple. I come from a very religious background, and I’ve always put my faith in God and order to see through a lot of my challenges. He’s given me the mentality to tell stories of his world in my eyes. Tell stories of our world and the reality behind the mask we put on everyday. The good, the bad, and the ugly. But mostly the beautiful.
Along the way, I learned the trust is a bold word it’s not like a poster that you can hand out. It’s not like something they can always be given. It’s something that can be earned same like respect.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Me and my best friends are explores. We enjoy going to secret areas, hidden gems. Even if that means we have to climb or you know, travel across water we try our best to make the most out of a great day. Some of my best adventures have been near like abandoned trains, the beach, maybe we went to a different state. Our adventures lead us to some very crazy places and we have some amazing food while we’re there.

Did you know that Texas has tree houses? like actual tree houses that for like a family and you can climb in sleep in there with bath and everything and we don’t have that where we live. That’s where our next adventure will be.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe my thanks to many. Those of my supporters, as well as my colleagues and coworkers, but ultimately, I would love to thank my best friend for being around for so long and helping me through so much and there’s no way I can repay her back for all she’s done so far and what she’s continuing to do. Thank you America. I would love to shout out my friends from other states and other countries for being so supportive of me thus far, and I could’ve made it without them. Lets all support each other.
