Hi Keivonyea, why did you pursue a creative career?

I pursued becoming a Branding Manager because I always had a heart for helping people & seeing their potential. I have always been good at pin pointing & helping build people into the best version of themselves. It honestly took me a while to find my niche because I never knew that I could make a career out of helping people grow in their passion. Know that everyday I wake up helping people become what they have always wanted to be makes me unbelievably happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

One thing that sets me apart is the services that I offer, most Branding Managers limit what they do, & there is nothing wrong with that. However, that gives me more room to not only help my clients but to have a bigger audience in what I do. I help with branding or revamping companies, social media management, marketing consulting, influencer outreach & so much more. I take the views of my client in what they have, compare it to what they want & then strategize a plan to get them what they need.

I am excited with all of the amazing people that I have had the honor of partnering with. All of them have not only been a pleasure to work with, but have all taught me a lot in every industry that they are in.

Where I am today has a lot to do with consistency & the partnerships that I have made. It was easy in the sense that I love what I do, of course there were a few times where I did not know what I was going to do or how I was going to help someone’s company, but I used my resources & somehow I have been able to figure it out. One main lesson that I have learned is that I have to keep on learning, & to never get stuck on one project for too long. Keep moving forward & know that everything will fall into place.

What I would like the world to know about my story is that it took a long time for me to finally say that I love what I do. I always knew that I wouldn’t be working in a corporate job for the rest of my life, because I just never really fit into them, and I would get bored very easily…finding my purpose has really been one of the best things for myself & my family, because I have never been so happy & so at peace.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Places that I enjoy eating are The Kickin Crab, or any whole in the wall restaurant really, those are all of the good ones! When I am not working I am spending time with my family and investing in the dreams that my kids are pursuing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family really is what pushes me consistently, looking at my kids and seeing their faces, I knew that I had to create a legacy not just for myself but for them. I wanted them to see their Mother and be proud of what they saw, & for them to know that if I can do it, then they can definitely do it as well. My husband also really pushed me to really exceed my limits & make me uncomfortable so that I wouldn’t be stagnant. My sister Leinashia also in a sense “made” me jump into this career, she was my first client with her brand “The Juu’C”, she trusted me with her brand & from there everything bloomed. And of course my Mother really helped me, she made sure that I didn’t give up on all that I was doing. And I cannot forget Brandon with Xclusives Spa Suites, he gave me an amazing partnership to help boost my career. My support system is huge as you can see, and I love all of them so much!
