We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”

Being authentic and true to who I am–has had a huge impact on the success of my brand. Not feeling like I needed to compete with others has been the best business advice when entering this career. The more you focus on yourself, your ideas and goals, the less time you spend worry about what someone else is doing. I wear many hats these days a Mom, Realtor, wife, friend, a fierce competitor, life long athlete, chef, sister and true local born and raised here in Carlsbad, San Diego.I’m proud of the work I do, the values I stand for, and what my brand has become. I’m not afraid to take risks in life or in business to make myself stand out but being authentically me while giving my clients top customer service catered to their individual Real Estate goals.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
A native of North County San Diego, Katie is a local through and through. Growing up in America’s finest city she has a keen perspective of regional trends and market conditions with first-hand experience buying, selling, and investing in our growing community. She offers her clients a wealth of knowledge on local neighborhoods, top schools, and opportunities throughout this great town!

Katie’s award-winning experience and long-standing ties within the community provide her clients with a distinct advantage when it comes to finding their dream home or investment opportunity. As a little girl, she would spend many days with her father on his job sites as a general contractor, where she developed her love of building and seeing the potential a home has beyond its current condition.

Katie is an incredibly active member of her community, raising a family of four girls in Leucadia and making a positive impact on everyone she meets. Her philosophy in real estate is to lead with honesty, integrity, and a deep commitment to her clients – after all, most of them have become her neighbors and all have become her friends! Katie holds a BA degree from CSUSM and post-graduate work in education, she thrives under pressure as a top negotiator and has quickly become one of North County’s fastest-growing real estate agents.

Travis Brown Floor Covering International, Owner. man he stepped up to the pate for me this week. Moving his personal and work schedule around for a client of mine who needed new flooring due to a medical accident. Travis stepped up took care of business.
