We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Junior, Dustin Ghaul, and Joe Ciafardoni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Justin, Dustin, and Joe, what do you attribute your success to?
Palm was founded with the intention to produce an incredibly unique product, and fill a void in the space that wasn’t yet occupied or oversaturated. We knew we could make the golf glove better, and so our aim was to bring an incredibly unique, and fresh take on gloves, while still meeting the standards of the industry leaders with this product. It was important to us to be the first to make an incredibly different golf glove compared to what already existed in the space, seeing that the game of golf was evolving, we wanted to be one of the leaders in that movement for product. Beyond the product itself, Palm aims to provide exceptional customer service and to speak directly to our audiences wants and needs for product. We feel these values separate us from the pack and is the driving force of our success thus far.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Product should be a reflection of self. Palm is a company that creates product inspired by the Southern California lifestyle, and we’ve aimed to only create product that we feel reflects our passions, even outside of golf. Because we’ve continued to make product that we personally value, it’s allowed us to build a customer base we can easily speak to through what we release. Staying true to producing what we love, has made the decisions of what we create “easy”. But the business itself is not easy. We’ve overcome challenges by being 3 friends, that evolved into co-workers. We’ve remained constant in our vision and mission for what first brought Palm into fruition, which has steered our decision making at times of difficulty. The difficult times are where you learn the most, and we’ve welcome adversity and celebrated the success.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
This is a toughhhhh question cause there’s almost too much to do. But, obviously we are absolutely going to a golf course or 2 if friends are visiting for a week. Aviara, Torrey Pines, or Goat Hill Park to name a few. Next up, we’d have to go to a couple breweries; Saint Archer, Stone, Green Flash etc. When it’s time for food, restaurants to hit would be Bencotto for some squid ink pasta or One Door North. Everyone’s got their favorite taco spot, but we’re not going to make any enemies and withhold our opinion. Just putting together this list makes for a sad reminder about the impacts of COVID, but definitely has us craving another visit to the area!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost we have to thank our friends and family (you know who you are), for all of the unwavering support since the beginning of this idea to where we are today. Our WIVES, who have all been there to support whether packing orders or sharing the brand, and who have also understand the time we take for working on Palm, and also understand that sometimes the work has to be done on the course too. All brands that we’ve partnered with in any capacity as well as the countless friendships that have flourished through business. And lastly, Four Sons Brewing for keeping the fridge stocked when the work day calls for an adult soda.
