Hi Juliann, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
I’ve learned an immeasurable amount in my first year of business. Most importantly, I would be nowhere without my team. I’m grateful for my friends, family, and my truly talented team who’ve been a true blessing and help throughout this year. I’ve learned how to produce and install products people love. I’ve also learned the value of publicity and how to negotiate with customers. I’m proud of our customer service and satisfaction.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Unreal Designs, Inc., was formed out of a desire to do better and be better for the environment, and help people bring their Artificial Greenery dreams to life. Our products look so life-like, you’ll be asking yourself, “Is it real?” We offer consultation, design, sales, installation, and event rental in the Southern California area and beyond.

Proud to be woman owned, we have a small, but dedicated team, devoted to bringing you the best products and service we have to offer. We build all purchases, custom made to order, out of our warehouse in San Diego, CA. Each member of our team has years of experience in this industry, whether it be for sales, fabrication, assembly, or installation. Armed with a California Contractor’s License, there’s little we can’t do.

We’re proud to elevate events with our rental hedges, being part of our client’s special days. We work with both residential and commercial clients to install projects that add beauty, function, privacy and security to everyday life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we’re looking to have a good time, I always head to the coast when friends or family are visiting from out of town, You simply cannot beat the joy the waves bring each time they crash in on the beach. Any time spent riding along the Mission Bay path, hiking through Torrey Pines, and journeying through La Jolla, is time well spent.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to give a shoutout to my friends, family, team, and loyal clients. Their support, encouragement, and help has been a true blessing and I would not be where I am today without it.
