Meet Jp Amistoso

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jp Amistoso again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Jp, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m JP Amistoso, founder and owner of Ganbatte Fitness in Los Angeles. For over 15 years, Ganbatte has been more than just a gym, it’s a community. A place where people come together to support, challenge, and uplift one another. A home for those who believe in showing up for each other, and striving to be just a little bit better every day by doing their best.
Outside of running Ganbatte, I have the privilege of coaching for Red Bull and serving as a Lululemon ambassador. These roles allow me to connect with athletes at all levels, share the impact of community-driven training, and continually expand my expertise as a coach and trainer.
As an athlete, I’ve competed in 14 Ironman events, earning a spot at the Ironman World Championship. I’ve run a sub-3-hour marathon and qualified for Boston. More recently, I’ve competed in Hyrox, racing alongside my doubles partner and winning first place at Hyrox Anaheim twice and Hyrox Las Vegas, earning us a spot at the 2025 Hyrox World Championship in Chicago.
One of the most exciting milestones for our community has been Ganbatte Fitness becoming an official Hyrox-affiliated gym. This has created incredible opportunities for our athletes, many of whom have stood on podiums and represented Ganbatte on the world stage. Their success is a testament to the work they put in and the support we provide each other.
At Ganbatte, we believe in smart training, consistent effort, and always giving your best no matter where you are in your journey. Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, this is a place to challenge yourself, grow, and train alongside others who are just as committed. We’re proud of the community we’ve built and excited for what’s ahead.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Since our last conversation, Ganbatte Fitness has made some exciting updates. We’ve introduced new programs, such as Strength, Engine (Hyrox-specific), and Weightlifting. These programs reflect our commitment to offering something for everyone, but what truly sets us apart is the community we’ve built. It’s a place where people don’t just train, but they feel supported, inspired, and motivated by their peers and coaches to do their best.
The sense of community here is at the core of everything we do. Our members are more than just individuals coming in to work out, they’re part of a team that lifts each other up, both physically and mentally. It’s this connection and shared commitment to growth that makes Ganbatte so special.
Although there have been challenges along the way, I’m excited about the direction we’re heading. I look forward to seeing our community continue to grow and evolve, with more opportunities for everyone to achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
I want Ganbatte to be remembered as a brand that is deeply committed to helping people reach their full potential. At its core, Ganbatte is more than just a fitness facility, it’s a mindset, and a community built on resilience, belief, and unwavering support. Everyone has the ability to push past their limits, to grow stronger, and to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Sometimes, all it takes is the right environment, the right people, and the belief that you can by simply doing your best.
Through Ganbatte, I strive to create a space where people feel seen, supported, and driven to push their limits. A place where doubt is replaced with confidence, where challenges become opportunities, and where every step forward is a testament to what’s possible when we truly commit to ourselves. I want to leave behind a legacy of transformation, one that reminds people that they are stronger, braver, and more capable than they ever imagined.
Ganbatte is doing our best. Everything is earned and not given.
