We had the good fortune of connecting with Joanne Cho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joanne, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Blossom de Cafe is a one of a kind cafe designed with a mom’s heart. We are known for our coffee, bingsu desserts and our kid friendly atmosphere located at 12305 Poway Road, conveniently nestled in the Poway Promenade.

We serve handcrafted lattes and teas, fruit smoothies, sandwiches, bowls and other food items, and a breathtaking array of desserts including bingsu and waffles.

Our cafe is spacious, comfortable, and inviting. Decadent coffee beans, local food, real fruit, no added sugar and no artificial flavour. Serving you breakfast, lunch and more with exceptional, superior service and product freshness.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Blossom de Cafe is a one of a kind cafe designed with a mom’s heart who is mother of two children attending Poway School District, graduated from the RMI T University of Australia with degree of Fine Arts, then went on to earn master of Fine Art s with an emphasis in instructional Graphic Design and Technology.Joanne has worked wit h children since 2002 and has Art School opation of teaching business with 15 years exp eriences.

Blossom de Cafe helps support the local community in various ways.
We offer free taster baking and art classes. We run competitions such as pumpkin decorating, painting and cookies decorating etc., in the community. We love to support local schools and have donated cookies to the PTA for their fundraising event.
We love to support Poway community, one of our plain for Painting Event – veryye
I always love to support the Poway communitity by doing art events every two months where they have the opportunity to create art.. later this March we will have Blossom wine and painting event.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would love to Thank the Mom’s of Poway, the Woman community, and our regular customers for always being so support to our small business. For allowing us to stay open in such difficult times and supporting us all thru the pandemic. And allowing us to provide a safe and clean space for children and family to enjoy good food and make memories.
