We had the good fortune of connecting with JoAnne Carilli-Stevenson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JoAnne, what principle do you value most?
Accountability or ownership means the most to me as it says a person is willing to accept responsibility for their actions. They can own their decisions, and accept the consequences even if negative. We are the makers of our own lives, both personally and professionally.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
With over 30 years of sales, branding and marketing experience what sets me apart is my ability to view the big picture and then funnel it into action to create successful brands. As a female in my industry, it has not been easy. Early on it was all about proving that I had the knowledge and skills for the position I held, now it is about leading and mentoring others to impact positive change. But no matter how hard the challenge, you must stay true to who you are and be your authentic self.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Breweries of course! But also local climbing crags, hiking areas or anywhere outside to explore.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Over the years I have been fortunate to have many mentors especially during pivotal times of change or struggle. But there is one person who stands out as my sounding board and cheerleader – my father.
