Hi Jim, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve done many startups, each for a different reason. Sometimes, it was because I had insight into a great problem solution, sometimes to control my destiny, and sometimes to give back to the community.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
DigitalStyle Corporation was founded early in the web days and provided solutions to building geat web sites. DigitalStyle was acquired by Netscape Corporation to help build the next version of the browser, now known as Mozilla.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite part of the county is Palomar Mountain, an area above 5,000 feet and covered in forests. Among the forests are giant sequoia trees, unknown to most. Palomar Mountain is also home to CalTech’s Palomar Observatory, which has many telescopes, including the Hale 200″ Telescope, until recently the largest earth-based telescope in the world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The co-founders of some of my businesses provided complementary skills to mine, so we made a great team.
