Meet Jett Miller | Registered Nurser and UGC Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jett Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jett, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Ever since I was a little girl, I always loved being in front of the camera. My dream was to become a star youtuber. In middle school, I made music videos with me lip syncing to trending songs and lots of quick jump edits. I would work for over 8 hours editing just one 5 minute video! I taught myself all of the steps and how to use an editing software. I gained about 2K subscribers, but then when I started high school, I didn’t have the time anymore and stopped. Since becoming a nurse, I had seen many nurse influencers on tiktok and dreamt of the life they had. I saw them working with dream brands and working less hours as a nurse. I knew this is what I would do. I knew I had the skills and determination to do it.

Around the same time I was working in a very stressful work environment as a nurse, I discovered UGC. I saw this would be the quickest way to achieve the dream life I wanted as you didn’t need a whole lot of followers to start. Fast forward over a year later, and now UGC/content creation is my full time job. I am currently doing nursing part-time. My life has transformed for the better.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a UGC Creator which means I make content for brands to use on paid ads or on their social media accounts. I tend to work with a lot of health and wellness brands and incorporate my career as a registered nurse into the content that I make. Doing this has made my UGC business expand 10 fold. I got to where I am with lots of trial and error and determination. Working full time as nurse while trying to grow my business was not easy. It truly took so much dedication to continuously show and put in the work even when I was exhausted from my nursing shifts. I overcame the challenges by eventually going part-time and prioritizing my business. I have learned that with true work and determination, anything is possible. I want people to know that you are MORE than your career. I always thought I had to only be a nurse, but I had so many other passions like content creation. You can be a multi-faceted individual. You don’t have to put all your cards in one box. I will always be a nurse but I had always wanted to do more than that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love my friends who are just along for the ride. Those friends where you can just sit and talk over coffee or even just watch a movie at home. The ones I feel most comfortable with. If we wanted to do something, I would take them to my favorite coffee spot, go on a walk, and get some yummy lunch. I love healthy and all natural restaurants.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would say my husband is a huge part of my success. He didn’t let me give up just because it was hard to see success with UGC at first. He even stars in some of my content now (lol). Also my mom has been a huge part of where I am today. She has always been so proud of me and continues to push me. Every time I have a new achievement, she freaks out almost as much as I do. And lastly, the UGC community I have built on my socials. This community has been the MOST supportive community and always help each other out with tips and advice.
