We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessi & Ali Arnold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessi & Ali, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
One reason we wanted to start our own business was to have more flexibility with our time and with our families; and not have to follow some one elses schedule. What we’ve learned though; even working for yourself you have set practical boundaries.
Even though we aren’t working on someone elses time table, it’s easy to get caught up in new projects, new ideas and the endless to-do list.

One simple way we’ve done this is by setting work hours, so that we aren’t tempted to stay up late and on the weekends working on projects.

What should our readers know about your business?
Girls Meet Globe is a production company that helps brands by creating photo & video content for their products.

We love to celebrate other women-owned businesses. We are especially inspired by our female-founded partners!
We’ve also built a team of creatives with women in the production industry which is traditionally a male dominated field.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our favorite way to spend a weekend in San Diego is hitting the beaches! One our our favorite spots is tucked away in Encinitas called Grandview. Our favorite beach view restaurant with a fantastic menu is Pacific Coast Grill. For the best instagram worthy coffee spot in town, you cant beat Holy Matcha!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’re inspired by our fellow female entrepreneurs within our network; that are always encouraging us to keep moving forward and pursue our passion!
