Meet Jess Iturzaeta | Wellness Coach, Podcaster, Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jess Iturzaeta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jess, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
My early mornings have 100% changed my life. I know you hear so many people talk about how waking up early is great but for me as a busy mom, those moments in quiet are essential. One of the habits I lean on for my mood, energy and health is movement in the morning. I tend to not get that in if I do not get out of bed before I want to! But another key habit is listening to body, I really leaned into this over the holidays when I got sick. Rest and sleep is number 1 so if my body needs that I listen.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My skincare line, Simply Jess Skincare was developed out of a need for clean products that delivered amazing results from someone who really understands how the skin works. After learning so much about how what we do internally affects the our outer bodies I wanted to share more and I started a podcast 2 years ago. I also do wellness coaching to help people take the concepts we learn about on the podcast, Learning to Glow and apply them into their lives. It has been amazing to see how my journey has unfolded. My own personal health challenges have really inspired me to want to help others going through the same things. As a women approaching 48 this year I think its a good reminder its never too late to go in a new direction and follow what passions light you up.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sporting events in LA are top tier, I think going to an iconic LA game would have to be up there on the list! I love museums, like LACMA, the Museum of Tolerance, the Getty and the Natural History Museum, coupled with an amazing dinner afterward. with my friends with kids, a trip to Universal Studios is always fun and of course checking out some fun shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shout out to my small business group, SC Biz. Having a community where I can truly connect and relate to others going through the journey of being a small business owner has been incredible. Not many people in my life can relate to this type of work unless they are also in it so it has been incredible.
