Hi Jenny & Jules, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Bohosistas was created in hopes to create handmade products with cool unique designs that would help with our plastic-free idea. The products are eco-friendly, durable, and reusable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We (Jenny and Jules) are San Diego native sisters and co-founders of Bohosistas.

Bohosistas was established during the pandemic as a small business that brings our boho/minimalist style to life through our glassware, tote bags, stickers, and other products! What makes our products are that our products are eco-friendly which ultimately help reduce the use of single-use plastic bags and cups. Although, our small business journey has been a fun but challenging experience, we have learned that as long as you keep going, we will keep getting better and better. And the more we keep getting better, the more we gain more confidence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we had one of our best friends visit the area, this would be the itinerary we would share:

Day 1 – Explore Downtown: San Diego Maritime Museum, USS Midway Museum, Little Italy, Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter
– Food: Sushi Deli #1 / There’s a lot of options within these areas

Day 2 – Visit the Attractions: Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Visit Museums
– Food: El Prado Restaurant in Balboa Park

Day 3 – Enjoy the Beautiful Beaches: Pacific Beach. Mission Bay, Coronado Beach, Imperial Beach, Sunset Cliffs
– Food: Poke 1,2,3 / World Famous Restaurant

Day 4 – Explore the surrounding area: Coronado Island, La Jolla, Point Loma, Old Town
– Food: Casa Los Reyes / Ki Sushi / Coronado Brewery

Day 5 – Day trip to Tijuana, Mexico
– Food: Tacos el Franc

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are just grateful for the support we have received from our family and loved ones. It has been a crucial part of our process and success thus far. Their encouragement, support and inspiring words such as ‘Son lo máximo’ (You’re the best) and ‘Ustedes pueden’ (You girls got this)” have made such a positive impact to our success. It’s thanks to their constant support and encouragement that keeps us going.
