We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenna Morse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I always knew I wanted to work for myself. I struggled to work for someone else because I don’t like being told what to do and living by someone else’s rules. I love having the flexibility to create my own schedule and work from home. Sometimes I even see my clients at parks and beaches so it’s amazing to be able to work outside too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Working on myself emotionally has been the biggest turning point for me. Yoga, meditation, self help books, coaches and mentors are the reason I’m where I am today. I believe we always can keep going and the work never stops. I always had an interest for depth and what we could benefit from if we just healed ourselves emotionally and physically. I knew if I worked on healing myself then my business would reap the benefits as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me in San Diego. I would take them to sunset cliffs, ocean beach. It would be a nice place to surf or swim. I would eat at Peace Pies, The Village, and Choice Juicery. La Jolla is a fun town to walk through, shop and check out the beach. I also love Balboa Park. So much fun to stroll through. The museums are very interesting and exciting as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My best friend and sister Erika taught me everything I know about reiki and energy work. I used to have chronic panic attacks and crippling anxiety where I couldn’t even leave the house sometimes. When I started working with her, I was very closed off. I never wanted to ask for help but she was so gentle and loving and slowly I became more comfortable. Eventually I took my level 1, 2 and 3 reiki training from her. The Abraham Hicks teachings changed my life as well. Ask and It Is Given and Money and the Law of Attraction were huge stepping stones to my transformation. Manifestation is something I started looking into in 2016 but it took me years to finally learn how to manifest exactly what I want and that is still a work in progress.
