We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda and Christopher Dahl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda and Christopher, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Serving from the heart has been the most important factor to our success. We know what it is like to live with chronic illness, so in our business we compassionately share what we know to bring our clients to that place of health and peace by holding space for them, listening, and honoring them as they heal.
What should our readers know about your business?
Our business developed naturally over time. Several years ago, our family was diagnosed with Lyme Disease after 18 years of failing health. Shortly after starting treatment, our son woke up unable to breathe due to a reaction from one of the medications. As we were rushing to the ER, we prayed to God to help, and made the promise that if we made it through this, we would spend the rest of our lives helping others to heal. We had no idea how we were going to do that at the time. The next phase of our journey came when we had hit a plateau in our healing. We began working with a massage therapist for lymph drainage, and during the first session, experienced intense relief with anxiety, something that nothing had helped with previously. There were waves of warmth and color, and a happy feeling! After the session, the masseuse explained that she used Reiki during her work. After that, we booked Reiki instead, and healing accelerated. As remission was reached, it was clear that we needed to learn this modality ourselves, as it was instrumental in helping us. We began working with others who were suffering with chronic illnesses, and before long, had built a strong practice helping others. What sets us apart from others is our first-hand knowledge of what it is like to be the patient. We know how deeply illness affects our client’s lives, and we guide them through their healing with a combination of tools – Reiki, Biomagnetic Therapy, and 1:1 support. It is an honor for us to be a part of our client’s healing journey.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
San Diego is a beautiful city to explore outdoors. The waterfront in the city is not to be missed – walking through Seaport Village, visiting the Midway and the Maritime Museum and eating at any of the locally owned restaurants make for a great day. Torrey Pines has gorgeous views from its hiking trails. More gorgeous views to be had at the top of Mt. Soledad. Old Town has great Mexican food and great shops.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d like to give our shoutout to Dr. Emily Poccia-Hernandez of Wildcraft Medicine in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Emily has always recognized the care we give to our clients, and trusts her clients to us with support through referrals, collaborations, and shared events.
