We had the good fortune of connecting with Janeall Lucas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janeall, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting Lash DesignHER stemmed from a combination of passion and purpose. After years of working in management and client-focused roles, I realized I craved something that allowed me to express my creativity while making people feel confident and beautiful. My thought process revolved around offering more than just a service—I wanted to build a brand where luxury meets personalization, where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Lash DesignHER is my way of blending artistry with empowerment, creating a space where clients can truly feel like HER.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Lash artistry isn’t just about creating beautiful looks—it’s about empowering others to feel confident and radiant in their own skin. What sets Lash DesignHER apart is my focus on customization and connection. Every set is designed to enhance a client’s unique beauty and reflect their personality. It’s not one-size-fits-all; it’s HER style, HER design, and HER lashes. That dedication to individuality and perfection is something I take great pride in.

Getting to where I am today professionally has been a journey. It hasn’t been easy, but the challenges have shaped me into who I am. Balancing motherhood, launching a business, and refining my craft required patience, resilience, and faith. I started by practicing on friends and family, humbly growing my skills and building my confidence. There were moments of doubt and comparison, but I stayed focused on my own pace and progress.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to trust the process and never stop growing. I remind myself that every struggle is part of the story and every small win deserves celebration. Surrounding myself with supportive people and staying committed to my passion helped me overcome every obstacle.

What I want the world to know about Lash DesignHER is that it’s more than a lash brand—it’s a community of women embracing their beauty and power. My story is about turning setbacks into setups and using creativity to inspire confidence in others. At Lash DesignHER, it’s about more than lashes—it’s about creating a lifestyle where every woman feels empowered to be HER.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely! I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support and encouragement of two amazing women in my life. First, I have to shout out Helena, the owner of MAB Lash. She’s been an incredible mentor and inspiration, always willing to share her knowledge and experience in the lash industry. Watching her build her brand with such grace and determination has motivated me to pursue my own dreams fearlessly. Her advice has been invaluable, and her belief in me has truly pushed me to grow.

Second, my best friend Alexis deserves so much recognition. She’s been my biggest cheerleader from day one and even let me use her as a model when I was just starting out. Her trust in my craft and her willingness to be my canvas gave me the confidence to perfect my skills. Alexis has always been there to remind me of my potential and has celebrated every win with me, big or small.

These two women have played such pivotal roles in my journey, and I’m so grateful for their love, encouragement, and belief in me. My story wouldn’t be the same without them!
